Some folks that have a subscription to a wifi connection can be SO rude and selfish. Trouble is, even if you do figure out their password, they will often change it, and you have to start all over figuring out what to do. It might be easier for you to subscribe and get your own wi fi connection. Don't forget to secure it with a very complicated password... so that nobody can sneak onto YOUR connection...
By default your password for this router is 1234, but if it doesn't work it means that it was change already so better try your commonly use password and if still wont work reset the router to bring it back to its default settings with default password.
Actiontech routers should use the username/password combination of admin // password. If those aren't working, you or someone else, may have changed the default username/password of the router. In that case, you either need to figure out what was set or use the little red button on the back of the router to reset the router to factory defaults. Once that's accomplished, you should be able to use the password combo above.
I tried everything and eventually figured this out. Do this!
Enable DHCP set the start ip to 192.168.1.100, and remove any static IP address on your xbox 360 (have it automatically detect connections) Set the MTU to 1364. enable UPnP. if you are using wrt-dd (if you aren't, you should be) setup QoS so xboxlive has premium priority.
And you have hit the ground running. Even microshats own website wont' help you fix this stupid problem.
Hello, If you haven't changed anything from default, in address window type 192.168.1.1 this should be default address for router. It will then prompt for a ID and Password..enter admin for ID and if needed the same for password. This will let you into the router settings and where you can change SSID and Enable Firewall, WEP or WPA..Hope this helps, thanks
First reset again your router to factory settings, just in case. Do this by pressing the tiny button at the back of the router with a pencil, this works for most of the routers. Then check the router manual or go to factory website and find out default setting for admin and password. some router works with 'admin'/'admin' or 'admin'/'1234'. check factory website.
