Your camera will use a pre defined directory to store pictures and videos, it will use this same directory to display pictures and play back videos. You cannot change this directory. What you can try and do is add the music to the same directory where your photos and videos are and hope that when you browse through your pictures and videos on the camera that it has a codec capable of decoding your audio files. For the most part at the moment you simply transferred the files onto the memory of the camera, this does not necessarily mean that the camera will be capable of playing those files back. What you can do however, is hook the camera up to another device that is capable of playing the files (like another PC) and transfer your files onto it and play them back there. There is no guarantee that your camera will be able to play back your music files that you have transferred. You will have to find out what file types the camera supports for playback and convert your music files to that if possible (which it may not be).

How to download pictures from camera to laptop computer

Hi delrosario,

To download pictures from camera to laptop computer follow the below steps :-

1 - using the data cable which is usually supplied along with your camera connect your camera to your laptop.

2 - when you connect the camera to the laptop with the cable and switch it on , you will get a message on your laptop regarding new device found and it may auto detect a digital camera.

3 - If the camera is auto detected then all you need to do is follow instructions and open the directory of the photos , once you get there , just press ctrl + A key or select all of them and select the copy option.

4- Then create a directory where you want on your laptop , and open it.

5 - After opening the directory , press ctrl + V or select paste from the edit menu , now you will see your photos being copied to your directory in the laptop.

Hope this helps ...:)

I have an Olympus, stylus 1030 SW camera.I saved some of my pictures to "My Favorites" then deleted them off my card. I was wondering if there is a way to transfer the my pictures back on to the...

If I have understood this correctly then you only saved shortcuts to the pictures in which case you have lost the pictures. There is a chance of recovering them with software BUT DON'T CONTINUE TO USE THE CARD, as you will lessen the chance of any recovery. Take the card out of the camera and place in card reader. Then use software from to scan the card and recover what you can.Make the save directory a folder on your hard drive and NOT the card.
(If I am incorrect and you actually copied the pictures to your computer then I apologise for alarming you. In that case if you have then it is just a matter of navigating to the directory they are saved in on the PC, copying them (right click copy) and pasting them back into the directory on the card that stores the pictures, DCIM/olympus etc-just click through the directories till you find the pix.)

I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.

When i have my memory card in my computer it shows i have pictures but when its in my camera it shows no pictures

Typically your digital camera uses a particular directory (folder) on the memory card, which it creates as part of the formatting process. The camera only looks at that directory, but your computer will look at the whole card. So, you computer may see pictures that your camera does not.

You should copy any pictures you want to your computer for safekeeping and then insert the card into your camera and format the card from your camera's menu. This is good practice to do anyway. Now any pictures your camera records will be in the correct directory.

Where can i download free software for downloading pictures from camera to laptop ?

This camera will work with XP, VISTA or Win 7. All you need to do is use the wires it comes with, the computer will find your camera and then you treat it just like a SEPARATE HARD DRIVE....

Open a New Directory on your computer and copy everything from your camera to that directory.

I have four cameras, and each one works the same. You can buy special software if you want, but it is a waste of money.

Good luck,

Innovage digital keychain viewer

The software doesn't use the "My Documents" shortcut, so it doesn't open in the "My Documents" directory in which "My Pictures" usually resides. The file browser opens, by default, to the program directory (C:\Program Files\Photo Viewer). Simply use the explorer tools to go "up" to C:\ (the root directory), then find the directory "My Documents" and within that "My Pictures"

Memory Card Problem

I've solved it.
I'll bet a buck you also bought a memory card reader.
If you hook the memory card (or camera) to a computer, you'll see a directory with a name like fuji_999.
After you download the pictures delete that directory from the memory card, and the problem's solved.
I just did it with a 1 gig xd card in my daughter's fuji 480. It had a main directory on the card called DXsomething, and 2 subdirectories, fuji_100, and fuji_999.
I deleted all three directories (after saving the photos), and the problem is gone.
Hope it works for you.
