Question about Sanyo DVW-7200 DVD/VCR

1 Answer

No Picture I have the DVW-7200 and after hooking it up to a TV and turning the device on, I don't get any picture from the DVD or VCR components. I can hear them working, and have tried changing the channels on my TV, but I don't get any results on the TV itself.

Hitachi remote CLU 3851WL. What is the code for DVW-7200 DVD/VCR?

I doubt that your Hitachi remote is a universal type that would allow you to search for a code. You may have to substitute a universal remote and program it to control both your Hitachi TV and your Sanyo DVD/VCR.

How do I turn off the Progressive Scan on the DVW-7200 DVD/VCR. when it's on, the thing won't play any type of media

ok alot of people wrote a review to other questions similar to this one.. and they forget one key instruction. it has to be the play button on the dvd side of the combo player physically not the remote you press and hold the actual play button on the device for 5 or more seconds and the light will turn off. Then it we play and there will be a picture on the screen.. i hope this helped because that is how i fixed mine.

Have connected dvd/vcr but the tv screen is blue. Can you help please.

You MUST select EXTERNAL Input, NOT a Channel. You MUST connect up via, the INPUTS at rear, either COMPONENT, or COMPOSITE, Or, HDMI. Except for HDMI, ALL Cables, go Color Jack, to Color jack. 3 for composite & Audio, and 5 for Component & Audio.

DVW-7200

The DVD section is set to output as component video / progressive scan. You need to set it to either S or composite video output which is how your VCR is hooked up. Thats why you have no picture.

Sounds really broken. Unless you can find a replacement DVD drive for low money , you may have to junk it.
