TV's over all have a life span of 10 to 15 yrs, sounds like a problem with the picture tubes, could be biasing or the one of the tube their self''s.

TV won't come on. I just get green flashing light. Is this set worth fixing?

if you know how to access the lamp, pull it out and look at it. Inside the "bulb" there is a little glass tube, it should be smooth and cylindrical, no bulge at the bottom...obviously it should not be shattered either.

Cost to repair an LCD tv screen

In today's electronics devices there isn't much to repair specially if the screen is damage. The cost of the repair might exceed the price of the LCD. A cheaper way to get it fix is to try to find a defective LCD(same model) with intact screen.

Bad color

If it is a glass crt then you need to have the set demagnatized with a demagnatizing coil. All tv shops have one. This is worth fixing and usually at the price of a service call.
