Re: camera faults

Since your camera is about 7 months old I would suggest you take to an Olympus authorized repair shop for repair under warranty. That is, if it hasn't been dropped or exposed to water or any other liquid.

I have a Canon power shot sd 4500 is. I have had it for 7 months. I charged the battery and the charged showed green. When I put the battery back in the camera, the camera would not come on. KD

If the camera is only 7 months old then call Canon or go through their website for a warranty repair. 1-800-OK-CANON or

The problem sounds like the fuse has been shorted, and the mainboard will have to be replaced. Many new Canon SD series cameras they do not fix, they just send you a replacement instead. I'm not sure if the 4500 is on this list, but the SD3500 is for sure.

Hope this helps!

Hi I my new(3 months old ) PowerShot SD1300 IS camera has a problem. Initially worked fine ,but suddenly it is not working. Issue is it will power up only once after many (5 to 6 hrs) put idle. When powerd...

PCB? Are you referring to a Printed Circuit Board if so then you are right it's a warranty issue. If you have the receipt of purchase in the USA and have friends or family living in the USA you could send the camera to them to forward onto the USA Canon repair depot. Once repaired the camera would be returned to your friend or family who in tern would forward it back to you. Also if the Canon service in your country said it was the PCB without looking then it might be a known problem with this model. OR because it's an American market camera they don't want anything to do with it.

It's possible that your camera, being 7 years old, was never designed for a 2gb card. You can find cards of all sizes at

ALL Nikon AFS branded lenses are compatible with the D3000. The AF lenses are usable in manual mode. Sigma, Tokina and Tamron lenses without the built-in motor are manual mode as well.
To be sure, check the manufacturer;s websites.
Hope this helps,

2GB SD card is brand new but camera says it is full.

Some of the older cameras will not take the bigger cards. You can use the bigger card with your computer to store your photos.

Battteries depleted messageon Pentax Espio E40, even though have tried brand new batteries.

HI. this seems to be a battery scanning fault in the programming. try to reset the board by pulling the battery and removing all power of 30 minutes. completely drain all power from this unit for 30 minutes. if this message continues after you have rest the programming, this will confirm a serious fault within the internal program. you will have to send this device back to a pentax repair terminal for reprogramming.

Camera turns on; however,l it will not take a picture. The screen is black except for some varied charachters. I have tried a new battery from Radio Shack with the same problem. Two "camera savvy"...

are you able to navigate the settings and menus? are you able to view old pictures?
What is the brand and model?

Its most likely a fault in the camera, The brand and model would be helpful I don't see them listed here.

Sony cybershot 4.1 DSC-P43

I bought a new 1MB memory card for this camera and was dismayed to find that the screen went completely blank - I couldn't do anything!!!! It was my sons graduation so had to buy another camera!
But, have just resolved this issue by pressing the bottom right-hand side of the screen with a rubber topped pencil - it works!!!!
This camera may be old and chunky but it still takes amazing pictures.
Hope it works for you too.
