Question about HP Photosmart 3310 Printer
All of a sudden, my L7780 won't scan. The message I get says, "the device you selected does not support scanning. or I get "scanner not found" Do I need to reinstall the printer/scanner software? Is this one of those goofy HP problems I see posted all over this site?
First test: try a photocopy to check the scanner is actually working. If copy is blank or defective then you have a faulty scanner.
Second test: are you scanning to device/PC by USB cable or network. Network scanning is notoriously fickle and may need you to completely uninstall and then completely re-install the device. You may also need to remove all references to the scanner in you registry. If scanning by wireless - forget it and use a cable.

As for the drivers, go to the following link and then click on the "Drivers and Downloads" tab, then choose your operating system. It should then give you the drivers under the "Driver" heading right below the operating system drop-down box. The software is there as well.
