Dealer put in a satellite radio in console between seats originally, but then something happened with radio nothing would work so brought to audio store and they took out radio & satellite in console & installed pioneer radio w/satellite radio where original radio was...did damaged to the burled wood and now cd player doesn't work nor navigation? Old radio can't be put back in should I try to get a replacement & if so how do I go about getting one?
Be sure to check fuses. You may have a blown fuse. If have the owner's manual, check for fuse block diagram and check for one listed as radio. If fuse is at fault, may have loose wire that caused it to blow.
Thanks Michael but unfortunately the dealer that sold us the car didn't include the owners manual & we are going round & round w/him on getting them as on ebay for a set for this car is going for $900. Original radio was taken out & something was broken on it that's why it wouldn't work, but now a new pioneer satellite radio was put in but I don't think the installer knew what the heck he was doing as now the cd in the console won't work & the navigation dosen't work plus passenger side speakers not working. Sigh it's a mess for sure & my husband is going nuts.

the dealer is fulla **** sorry ,the radio is locked but not tied with the vin
and if u take your battery lead off then put back on it will ask you for the code and same if u take it out
the way to get the code is in your manual for the car
or ring the company who made the radio
so what the dealer is saying if it cant be unlocked when u replace the battery it will need a code what do u do ? of course u can unlock it
just do what i said above and u will have your code usaually 4 or 5 digits

The 2002 and the 2007 radio connections are markedly different. Remember that the 2007's are "satellite ready"; this changes the back side wiring configurations dramitically.

Google Volvo wiring diagram. They are available free. The diagram shows the wire location and colors. Otherwise, run a continuity test with a simple meter to discover a connection with some resistance between a pair of wires. If you here a click or two, from the speakers, you have found the right pair. Continue and label the pairs left, right, front,rear, until all are identified. Then reconnect. A pain but not rocket science.

OK i just spent three hours with tha same problem really.
i removed casing around steering column done by removing 4 screws on the underside. the bottom half of the dash is also done up by a series of screws remove these also. Once bottom half of dash is removed there will be clips holding head unit in push these in and head unit should slide straight out. :)

You likely blew a fuse for your lights. Here is a wiring diagram for the original radio.
