Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Your described problem could be any of several possibilities:

  • speakers cutting out (most unlikely for 2 spkrs to go out at the same time);
  • the built-in amplifier (likely) but once off should not be coming back if faulty; if so then possibly only a cold solder;
  • sound processing (possibly, but would require extensive checking, testing and voltage measurements);
  • tuner (possibly if all channels exhibits same no sound problem);
  • cable provider, in some instances, the signal from the cable provider does not match the input requirement of the Hisense TH3220.
This of course would require opening the unit, perform voltage measurements,determine faulty component and subsequent part(s) replacement. Further, a fair familiarity of electronic components/circuitry and safety procedures, use of a DVM and a soldering iron would be required. It would be to your added advantage access to a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings.Should you be uncomfortable performing a DIY (do-it-yourself), perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

Hi

Sounds like there is an intermittent electronic fault in the sound section of your set. If it is still under warranty, then I would suggest contacting the people you purchased it from to arrange for it to be replaced or serviced. Is about the only thing you can do. If it is outside warranty, try contacting Hisense and express you disappointment,. they may just fix it for free. Other than that, you could hook a home theater system up to it and check to see if the audio is there at a line signal level and use that to solve the problem :)

    if none of these suggestions work, then you will be faced with getting a repair guy out to have a look for you. Use an Authorised agent for Hisense. They tend to have better knowledge of the issues that may be affecting the set. If you are in Asutralia they have a 3 year warranty. Check here for details.

Hisense TV: Dim pic. 2 wks later the pic just went out. Still had sound and could only see the pic when lights were off. Now the TV won't turn on. No sound. No back lights.

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

I have a Hisense 55K20DG 2013 MODEL and recently the picture went black/white and very dim with the sound still intact. After a few days the picture went out completely with no logo.still have sound

Throw it away. Seriously most of the parts will wind up costing more than a replacement set...and you are taking a chance that they will even fix it. Hisense has a poor reputation for customer service and does not make service info readily available. If you do decide to try and repair it....yu probably need at minimum an led driver board...assuming the led is not bad.

I have a 40 inch hisense TV I have pic but no sound it was working fine last night I went to work n came home n no sound now. Help please

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience.

My hisense 50 inch lcd tv has picture but no sound.

If you still have back light, then the T-con is probably defective. If you don't have back light, then you either have a bad power board/inverter or a defective panel

When I turn on my LCD TL3220 the screen shows a 3" x 6" silver box that says "no sync detected". I have checked the cable box and that seems to be working. Any suggestions

The word ''no sync detected' means that there is no video connection between the cable box and the TV set. Isolate the source of trouble by connecting to the TV a prevoius video source that worked properly e.g DVD player. You should also try to get a new set of video cables as the ones you have may be internally broken.
Please follow the installation instructions carefully especially the colour codes of the video and audio cables i.e yellow cable to yellow connectors of TV and cable box , Red cable to red connectors of TV and cable box etc.
good luck!

Hisense 42inch lcd tv

It sounds like it's the inverter panel which lites the lcd back light.
If it's under warranty, try to replace it, or take it in for svc.
