Question about HP Scanjet 5400c Flatbed Scanner
Distorted,not clear. I was going to uninstall and reinstall but I do not know if that would work, so I went through the settings and put everything on auto. The only thing is that I never ever changed anything.The last thing I did was copy a picture 2 wks ago
following this link i've found resetting instructions for this scanner:
1.. Disconnect the USB cable and the power cable from the
scanner. Make sure the power cable is still connected to the
2.. Press the Scan and Email buttons at the same time, while
plugging the power cable back into the scanner. The scanner will
enter a Demo Mode.
3.. Press the Cancel button on the scanner to start the test.
4.. To end the test, disconnect and reconnect the power cable
without holding the buttons down.
I've had exactly the same problem with my scanjet 5400c (blue distorted images) but after resetting the scanner (see instuctions posted above) the problem was fixed
