Question about Zenith DVT412 System
After going on setup and change a few thing i try progressive scan to see what it does and I had from then on only a blue screen with video and hour on the corner sond background after playing with the remote blindly because nothingn will come on the screen nothong work so I unplug it for the night. now it won't even turn on and the light beside power is blinking. That's it. Is there anything we can do? Thanks for your help.
First thing to try, would be to unplug all your equipment overnight to see if the microprocessors reset. If your still having problems , then you have a firmware problem and you should contact the manufacturer to see if its downloadable and upgradeable. Good Luck

I had this problem, it's a real pain. You need to turn the system on and goto Setup Mode, then count the number of tiems you would need to scroll down and reset it. You will see no picture, so you ahve to actually cound the number of clicks down and over, you are doing it blind, but it will work.

SOURCE: Progressive Scan Mode
Check for video out in the dvd setup menu, and set it for composite,
It may be set for component.
another thing to try is setting the the progressive scan option off in the setup menu, you wont benefit from it, but at least it might work.
if you already tried using the prog scan and your T.V isnt compatible, you'll need to reset. press stop to stop any playing disc, and press stop again holding it for 5 seconds to reset the system.

Tips for a great answer:
Progressive Scan Video provides the highest resolution
pictures with less flicker and line structure
If you are using the COMPONENT/PROGRESSIVE
SCAN VIDEO OUT jacks, but are connecting the
DVD/VCR Receiver to a standard (analog) television,
set Progressive Scan to Off
If you are using the Component Video jacks for
connection to a TV or monitor that is compatible with a
progressive scan signal, set Progressive Scan to On.
To ON and OFF this function, Press "Setup" to display the setup screen.
Surf through, and hilight "Progressive scan" and press "Ok or Enter"
Here you can set this function ON or OFF. If you wnat to get it OFF, select OFF and press Enter.
