I have a kenwood tk760g and i can't get the scan to work what am i doing wrong

Hello JoncoteO, if one of your Surround speakers does not work, you can not use the Front B speakers connection as a replacement
You should check if the output of your Kenwood is wrong or the speaker is wrong
Try connecting the Surround speaker that does not work, in the Surround output of the Kenwood that works, if you listen to it, well the problem is in the equipment
If you do not hear it, the speaker has the problem
I suggest you repair it, since you could have more damage

Hola JoncoteO, si uno de tus parlantes Surround, no funciona, no puedes usar la conexi?n de parlantes Frontales B, como reemplazo
Debes comprobar si la salida de tu Kenwood esta mal o el parlante esta mal
Prueba conectar el parlante Surround que no funciona, en la salida Surround del Kenwood que funciona, si lo escuchas, bien el problema esta en el equipo
Si no lo escuchas, el parlante tiene el problema
Te sugiero que lo repares, ya que podr?as tener mayor cantidad de da?os
Espero puedas solucionar el problema

Looks like you can go in and edit the pin code. Try reading page 36 and 37 of the owners manual (link below) to see if that helps.

Mine started to do the same thing and they said it was going into a power save mode and that I would just have to replace it :(

The only legal way you can get the software is to buy the software from Kenwood or one of its dealers. Since the radio is old and not longer supported Kenwood no longer sells the software and no agent is going to have legal copies of software to sell. So from a legal standpoint you can not program the radio. If however your willing to be a software pirate and ignore a corporate copyrighted piece of software, you can find software on the net and sometimes on ebay. nuff said on that.


Forth: the tk-840 is a nice radio, can be found pretty cheap, will do trunks or conventional groups. The only big problem with the 840 is scanning. It scans "ODD" instead of scanning a range of channels, it scans a single channel in a group. You can have only 1 channel is a group scanned. Kind of like scanning columns instead of rows. If you only need 32 channels you put 1 channel per group and you will not get confused.
