Regency wall oven and the glass for the top oven is broken

I have a Regency wall oven and the glass for the top oven has broken. I tried to get a replacement from the Regency, but there aren't any left in the country.
Other than the glass being tempered is there any magic to the glass that would provent me from me replacing it with black painted tempered glass?

i have same problem except i broke the glass on the lower oven door. as far as i can tell the outer glass is tempered and painted. the inner glass is ceramic.

I have talked to glaziers and they all have said the outer glass is temperred not ceramic. One noted that it is clear glass (not green tint like most glass looks)so if you broke the outer glass your solution seems correct. i need white painted glass for mine so if you have a source for painted glass, please let me know, thx

Top oven glass in door is broken (thermadore).

Hi,
Your oven model number is usually located on the rim of one of the oven doors or on the frame oaround a door. Some ranges with bottom drawers have the model number on the frame behind the drawer.

I need to replace the glass door front on my GE Profile 27" double wall oven JK955. Other than the outside glass being broken the rest of the door is fine. Can I purchase replacement glass?

Yes, but i believe it comes with the door handle already attached. Full model number, upper or lower and color is needed for looking up the part number. Expect to pay $210-280

Chef regency oven with "HELP" flashing on panel. Have no manual

Usually means that the time needs to be set. Press Clock Set then use the up and down button to set correct time, Then press Manual button.

Replace inner oven door glass on kitchenaid wall oven

To replace the door glass do the following:

0 Check if there is a hinge stop bracket located at the hinge point of entry on the oven, in that case remove it.
1 remove the oven door by pulling it up and removing from the the hinges. If glass is broken , then secure glass with tape. Have a table with a cloth on top ready to lay the door.
2 Remove the outer screws , starting from lower side of the panel.
3Removethe inner screws. Keep all set of screws ordered, and take note of theorder you remove them. You will follow reverse order in reassembly.
4 the frame will be free now,
5 Remove the external glass panel and leave it in a safe place.
6 Replace the inner glass.
7 Clean outer glass and metal door, re-assemble it and mount it back

Removed about 6 philips head screws to allow the door assembly to be taken apart for access to the glass. Lifted out the broken glass, cleaned the inside of the door, installed the new glass, reassembled the door (a two minute project), and reattached the door to the oven. Cleaning the inside of the door"

"I removed the oven door by lifting it off with the hinges. Disassembled the door parts one at time making sure I remember where I removed the screws until I am able to get to the broken glass. The most difficult part is making sure that the insulation strip & the gasket stayed in place after I replaced the broken glass & doing the reverse process of installing the parts together. Relatively easy process as long as you remember where the parts go. When in doubt, I had to refer to the pictorial of the disassembled door shown on your website. "
