I dont have sound in my IBM laptop

Have you reloaded the motherboard drivers for audio after formatting? If not connect to the net, visit the manufacturers web-site and download the latest sound driver for your model after having selected the OS you are using. The sound is integrated sound built in the Motherboard, hence without the correct driver it will not work..........sodeep

I dont hear any type of sound

If you don't hear any sound please make sure that your volume control is up and that your sound is not on mute. If the problem still persists your onboard sound card is out and you need to go out and buy a new sound card and install it in one of your PCI slots on your motherboard.
