I suppose you tried to load the batteries or tried different one.
With new batteries you can try to clap gently on the battery side. If it run :: bad contact. good luck to solde the bad contact.
If not the microprocessor might be dead..sorry buy a new one.
If get the sound but nothing on the screen then it might be dirt, bad contact or microprocessor. Not easy to clean a contact of a lcd screen. So be VERY gentle if you try, cleaning with pure alcool without betteries of course and let it dry before putiing batteries back

All of a sudden it will not turn on....nothing...when plugged into the usb...it say fully charged....but if you disconnect..and try to turn it on.....nothing happens..

If you can turn your player on while being plugged to your PC/Laptop or USB charger, then your internal Lion battery is most likely gone past its useful life (some 500 charges or 18 months usage) and may need replacing. Most MP3 player may show 'fully charged' when plugged in either when the battery is truly fully charge or defective battery is no longer taking a charge: e.g. minimum or no current flow situation.

My m4204 wont come on

You will need to update the firmware - this particular firmware doesn't exactly resolve an issue that you are experiencing, but it will have the side effect of fixing your player. Before I give you the website, I have to issue my new disclaimer - RCA changes their website frequently, so this link will work today, but it may be a broken link tomorrow - such is the pace of change:

Frozen screen/

Try turning it off waiting 20 seconds and turning it back on. Sometimes that helps. If it doesn't, try looking in the users manual to troubleshoot the problem. Good luck.
