Question about Kenmore 55612 / 55614 / 5561 / 655619 Side by Side Refrigerator
I have a Kenmore Side by Side, @106.566. The ice maker quit filling but water still comes thru the dispenser in the door. Before this, there appeared to be water leaking into the freezer area. Could the supply line be frozen? If so, how do I thaw it? I removed the ice maker and cleared all the ice and can see nothing visibly wrong.
defroose the ice to the plastic white tube and the hole then pull out the tube, then the first end of the tube cut the end like an angle like to make it sharp but only one side then put it back, make sure the tube shoot to hole inside or more better if u remove all the 5 screws and check if in the right way then put all the screws back, ok what out with the small tube if connected properly or loose ok

YOUR PROBLEM COULD BE WITH YOUR INTERNAL ICE MAKER HEATER ELEMENT OR THE INTERNAL MOTOR OF THE ICE MAKER NOT OPERATING WELL.BEST YOU GET A EXPERT TO ATTEND TO THAT AS IT IS A COMPLICATED COMPONENT TO WORK WITH.GOOD LUCK

This usually means you have a weeping water valve. The water valve doesn't completely shut down after filling the icemaker. This deposits a staedy flow of water which freezes and accumulates in the tube, eventually blocking it off. You would need to replace the water valve which is located at the rear of the refrigerstor. One othe thing to check would be the water supply to the refrig. If the water dispenser is working fine then that isn't an issue. However, if that is flowing slowly you would need to replace the saddle valve which is tapping into your house water supply.

When you first hook water up to the refrigerator you have to fill a tank in the fridge. Open the water supply behind the ref. turn the control on the front of the ref to water and hold a glass under the spout as if you are filling a glass . You may have to wait 3-4 minutes forthe tank and lines to fill with water before you get any to come out into the glass. The water my be discolored at first so run a few glass full through before drinking . hope this helps

Hi: Make sure your freezer is at zero degrees F. It will take 24-72hrs for an ice maker to produce when the freezer is at 0 degrees. Only then will the water fill the trays. I hope this helps, Jeff
