Why do my ripped files have so much Jitter?
I have the same problem.

See your softwares ripping speed slower. If that doesn't do it, try a different ripper - there are all kinds of potential ripper vs cdrom problems, using a different ripper often cures it.

use another dvd ripper.
I have iSkysoft dvd ripper .and it does a decent job. It probably takes 30 minutes to rip a full-length movie with sound and picture quality set to maximum.

Audiograbber, its free.. try different rip strategies and speeds.. Slower is better. Perhaps time for a new drive?

Also...you can adjust the size/quality of the file you are ripping. Larger size = higher quality. I would do at least 192 kbps/second for good quality WMA, more for mp3.
