Question about Kenwood KDC-MP628 CD Player

When I turn off my car my stero resets all it's setting

I have a Kenwood KDC-MP628 serial# 50100911 I have it installed in a Chevy 95 Blazer, the stero works great but when I shut off the blazers power my settings reset there self, so when I start my Blazer I have to reprogram all my settings. I bought the stero used at the store and didn't come with an owners manual for the wiring diagram, can anybody help me with this problem please. My name is Mike.

Here is a owners manal and wire diagram on page 55. You have the yellow wire hooked up wrong need to put to a constant hot not one on a switch.

you have a problem
one is able to set security code without the remote
without the security code ..not a chance to over ride it
a unit reset wont change the security code

How do u reset the stero without remote control kenwood kdc mp628


if the face of radio comes off. there should be a rese.t if it does, behind the face of stereo. if its a original car radio. try by unhooking power to the stereo, to see if this resets it or remove radio fuse for a few minutes.. leave unhooked for about 3 or 4 minutes.

Need to unlock my kenwood kdc-mp628


You will need to visit an Authorized Dealer or service center for that product to get the unlock code reset. You can find a dealer listing on their website, or call them.
