You have to enter its service menu option to unlock the Hotel mode. Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Check this LINK and select the site named above. View it in 'Flip card' option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu at the left top corner or the display window. It will make search easy. Some times, the ads attached with each posts might help you to find the availability of spare parts. There are more than 550 posts to different brand TVs.

We have the same telly and had the same problem. Ours was bought Jan 08. It can be repaired, as we had ours returned from the philips repair specialist yday, but it cost £190.

SOURCE: I bought a 32LC5DC Lg

The only thing that would cause this is a lock!

If you ever forget your password, key in ‘7’, ‘7’, ‘7’, ‘7’
on the remote control.

If unlocking does not free up the unit menu then the unit has most likely had a software upgrade at some point to disable these functions permanently. This is normal hotel based systems in order to prevent them being used if they are stolen. In this case you will have to contact LG directly with Model no and Serial No details to get them to assist you.

SOURCE: Philips 42PFL7662D problem

I come across this every day with LCD Tvs.What it is, is dust between the layers of the LCD. When dust particles settle behind the front layer of the LCD, and the LCD is pressed i.e when cleaned, the layers can be pushed together, resulting in a shadowy streak. If the LCD is stripped and cleaned it will be ok.

Entering into service mode to Philips brand TVs is somewhat difficult to an experienced person. There is two modes, SAM & SDM, out of which SAM should be selected. SAM = Service Alignment Mode, SDM = Service default mode. You have to enter SDM first, and should record the data values set there to each perimeter, before entering into SAM. If you wish to get more details about these adjustments, check the site linked here. It has details. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up previous posts there, either by its left side bar, or view it in Timslide option. Never attempt to enter to these modes, if you're not sound in electronics, instead, contact the authorized service centre for Philips.

Toshiba hotel mode

"Hotel mode" is usually an option for commercial TVs. In order to get rid of that, you might need "service remote control". Similar used in commercial "Philips" LCD panel sets. I do have the one. But it won't work with Toshiba. check help line and ask to obtain the one. It might cost a bit more, than consumer one, but? that might be your only option. consumer sets have "store" mode, but it defeats easy from regular setup menu. Do you have original remote for TV? Inspect it, if you do. It might be the service one, anyway. Those have "guest", "administrator", "service" modes.
Good luck,
Alex.

Hi, I just bought an older model Philips Magnavox from a hotel(Model Number: TL7127C107 Chassis Number: 27B700-7562). The T.V. itself works fine but I can't access all my channels. I did a little research...

sorry, it wont go away, bet ya got it cheap huh(nothing intended by cheap) but the tv hotel mode is telling you that its a special tuner made for just hotels, the only way to get around this is if you can replace the hotel type tuner on the main-board with a normal type tuner, it'll cost more than you paid though.good luck,a friend of mine bought 12 of then at $25 each, boy he thought what a deal, now he's really crying and they didn't tell him,and they won't refund his money

Can't find menu on hotel tv

YOU WILL NEED THE SPECIAL REMOTE TO DO THIS. AND I THINK SOME OF THEM HAVE ABILITY IN SERVICE MENU TO TURN OFF HOTEL MODE. OR YOU CAN TRY USING ANY PHILLIPS/MAGNAVOX REMOTE WITH THE STATUS BUTTON AND TRY THIS.
PRESS MENU-9-6-5-2-STATUS AND YOU SHOULD BE IN THE SERVICE MODE TURN OFF THE HOTEL MODE
