Check the Audio configurations. From the start menu go to control panel and audio settings and check the out-put devices, as somtimed you need to select the inernal speakers manually if you have previously changed them to an exteral source. Click internal speaker and run the diagnosis. You should be able to hear a beeping sound.
There are software programs that will sound off under certain circumstances. If you installed anything new about the same time that the alarm starting sounding then try and uninstall that software to stop the alarm.
