Re: Message alerts aren't working
Make sure that you have text notifications set on in the preferences section of your message options. You may have to do a reset on your device because sometimes script errors occur on the phones and causes simple things like that to stop working. Also, check to make sure that you have version 1.07 on your phone. That is the most updated version which addresses many script issues, networking issues, and volume issues, along with improved security.

2 reasons you cant receive mms messages. 1st you have to turn your mobile data on even if your on wi-fi and 2, your phone must be set up to receive them ( you do this by ringing your provider and ask them to send you mms settings , you will get a text from them with the settings in)
yes you can you just have to put the ringtoneinto the my sounds folder in the my stuff section and go to settings, then sounds, the other sounds and go to new text message: and you can search for it there hope this was helpful:)
go to tmobile website. search t-mobile wireless data configurator click link saying begin the configurator and follow instructions. U can get the configurations via text message and it gets done in like 10 seconds.
Try the following instructions, to personalize your Nokia E50! Profiles Warning: In the offline profile you cannot make or receive any calls, or use other features that require network coverage. Calls still may be possible to the official emergency number programmed into your device. To make calls, you must first activate the phone function by changing profiles. If the device has been locked, enter the lock code.
Select Menu > Tools > Profiles. You can adjust and customize the ringing tones, alert tones, and other device tones for different events, environments, or caller groups. To customize a profile, scroll to the desired profile in the list, and select Options > Personalise. Define the following settings: • Ringing tone — Select a ringing tone from the list, or select Tone downloads to open a bookmark folder containing a list of bookmarks for downloading tones using the browser. To listen to the selected tone, select Play. If you have two alternate phone lines in use, you can specify a ringing tone for each line. • Say caller's name — Activate the text-to-speech ringing tone feature. When someone from your contacts list calls you, the device sounds a ringing tone that is a combination of the spoken name of the contact and the selected ringing tone. • Ringing type — Select how you want the ringing tone to alert. • Ringing volume — Select the volume level of the ringing tone. • Message alert tone — Select a tone for received text messages. In order to use tones other than the presets for text messages, you have to put new .WAV files on your phone.
Any 8bit .WAV file will work; just connect with ActiveSync and navigate to your /Windows directory on your phone, and place the files there.
You will then be able to use them as text message alert tones.
