Continuous beep indicates problem with graphics card. Please open the case and firmly place the card inside the slot.

If it is beeping with small duration RAM is at fault.

Hope ur problem will be solved.

Compaq presario C700 continous beep when starting up

Potential Hard Drive failure, (Hard drive s.m.a.r.t. beep) or if MB beep it's chassis intrusion..

1. Remove battery + disconnect power
2. Hold down power button for 20 seconds
3. connect power only (no battery)
4. Turn computer on.

If the beeps stopped.. get a new battery, if the beeps continue..

When computer continously beep and it does not turn on

Hardware disconnected or failed. Open case and make sure all connections are firmly connected. Try replacing the power supply first. The next possiblity is a memory or MB failure.

Continous beeps usually mean the motherboard or the power supply, Try another power supply first and see if it will boot, if not the motherboard is faulty, if the prossesor was faulty you would no beeps the fans would run but nothing on the screen. hope this helps.

When starting up the computer, I get 5 short beeps then continous

These beeps seem to show that your system did not detect any RAM (memory) modules connected to it. Please check.

  1. Open the CPU case (turn the PC off first)
  2. Remove the RAMs from the slot.
  3. Turn ON your computer without the RAMs installed. Then observe if it gives the same beeps. If it is the same, then the RAMs might fail to register.
  4. Try to plug in carefully the RAMs in place. If you have 2 RAM modules, try to test 1 RAM at a time to see if the combination of the 2 mess up your system.

No picture and desktop makes beeping sound

Base on the post codes this continuous beeping indicates a power problem. Atypically this is a power supply problem and it will need to be replaced.
