Question about Honeywell Programmable Thermostat Heater

1 Answer

My heater will not turn on it says it's a Honeywell Heater & A/C. I took off the battery cover and the numbers underneath are: T8112C1031 (1) 0041 PF2A I have an upstairs thermostat that doesnt seem to be working now either. I changed the batteries so that is not the problem.

It could be the thermostat not responding to the unit . the thermister or the sensor cable short circuit.

SOURCE: my honeywell ct87K thermostat will not turn the heater on

On your thermostat - R is the power in terminal. Y is the cooling out. W is the heating out. (G is fan out). It does not matter which wire goes to R, the other should go to W - if no heat with a call, the thermostat is bad.

SOURCE: Honeywell RTH2310 thermostat temp variance

Yes you can change that by change the number of cycles per hour that your t-stat looks from for youe furnace. Lower the cycles per hour number and it will increase the range.

You can see how to do it here

I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!

Thanks for using Fixya!!

SOURCE: How do I change the battery on Honeywell Thermostat T8001C?

According to the manual for the model series (see link), only the T8002 Model has batteries. They are accessed from the right side of the thermostat. See page 14.

Honeywell has the manual for the HCE322V ceramic tower heater on the product page: . Click on the Manuals tab. The direct link to the manual is .

I hope this helps. Note: the manual covers a few different models. You should ignore any section about the HCE323; that model has a remote and a few other extras.

you have to remove front cover. Most times there are little snaps on the sides of cover to undo. Get a smallish screw driver and pry the cover off very carefully. any more questions just get back to me ken

The battery in our Honeywell ST6400C programmer needs replacing as it no longer gives us any back-up; what is the battery, please? Mark Houston

Hi shastalaker

Thanks for the info but how to get the front cover off. Two screws underneath allow the whole unit to be removed but then - nothing. There are two plastic tabs but they do not release anything as they are at one end. The other end remains firmly fixed.

Any thoughts

I have Honeywell thermostat for gas heater. change new bateries..heat is on up to 80F. Underneath 80F show the picture of "gas" sign..and the heater did not turn on.. What can I do? what's wrong? Please...

Check to see if the gas is on.
Check to see if the pilot is on.
You could have thermocoupler problems if the pilot dosn't stay on, or the safety thermostat within the body of the heater may have tripped.

My honeywell oil heater fell over on its side and now it wont go on the manuel said to put it up right and it should respond, but it isn't, its a HZ-709, please help

Four small titted tamper proof Torx screws hold the vented side cover to the unit. Two of the screws are under the narrow plastic trim that easily unsnaps at the top of that cover. Gently removing the cover with all of the wires still attached exposes the weighted mechanical saftey (anti-tilt) switch that allows for the possibly bent electrical contacts to be readjusted. Check and tighten any loose or overheated spade connectors and the rest of the operations may not need any further attention.
