First let me explain. Each browser handles scripts (the stuff that make up web pages and stuff) differently. You have Notify Me of Script Errors turned "ON" on your computer, so you will be notified of every error or warning - even if it works fine.

FIX: To fix this, Go to your Control Panel (START > Control Panel) and, in Classic View (you can find that on the left panel), click Internet Options. In the tabs on the top, click "Advanced", and then find the category "Browsing". CHECK "Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer), and "Disable Script Debugging (Other)". UNCHECK "Display a notification about every script error".

Click OK, and then messenger should work fine. If it does it again, restart your computer, then it will work fine.

The following instructions are directed at resolving your concern and it
is important that the steps are followed carefully to ensure the problem
is resolved. I know how this can be quite confusing but I would
appreciate your patience in accomplishing each step.

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

3. Click the General tab.

4. Under Browsing History, click Delete, and then click Delete Cookies.
5. Click Yes.

6. Click Close, and then click OK.

Have the computer look for newer versions of stored pages only when you
visit the page, and maximize the amount of disk space that the computer
uses.

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

3. On the General tab, click Browser History, and then click Settings.

4. Click Every time I visit the page.

5. Under Disk Space to Use, click and then hold the up arrow until the
highest value is set.

6. Click OK two times.

Reset the Security and Privacy settings to the default:

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

3. Click the Security tab, and then click Default Level.

4. Click the Privacy tab, and then click Default.

5. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Restore Advanced Settings.

6. Click Apply, and then click OK.

I hope these steps resolve your concern with Windows Live Messenger.
