Re: Where is the reset button on the 910?
Turn tom tom over where you see the pins that connect to the mounting brace. while you have it this way look down almost to the back of unit. you will see a tiny hole just big enought to fit a very small paper clip in hole. press on time and it will reset it for you. you have to look very very close to see it.

Before you reset your 910, first make sure your battery is (well) charged and if you are using an SD card, it is taken out.
The reset button is actually a tiny hole at the bottom / base of the unit.
Simply use a straightened out paper clip or something similar, insert it into the hole and hold it there for 20 seconds or so, until the device turns off. Then push the ON/OFF button and hold it down for a while ... (5 seconds ... or lots more) until the device powers up again. If you're using an SD card, you can then insert the card (when it is looking for it).
Looking at the docking area note the gold connection terminals and which end the round coaxial connector is at. You should also be able to see the green circuit board that the terminals are mounted to. Then next to that you'll see a section of the plastic casing that has a little rubber piece in it. At the end of that part of the case opposite the coaxial connector mentioned earlier you should see a small notch in the plastic. That is the reset button. With the unit on use a regular size paper clip and gently press it in and you unit should reboot.
According to Kevin A who says, and thanks by the way (There is a reset button on the back at the top of the unit. It should be on the right side as you turn the unit around. Insert a paperclip or pin into this hole, and the unit should reset) at it works 100% because I tried this morning after being quoted £55 to have my GO910 fixed and now it works after the price of a paper clip. I've solved by shipping my unit to Neaderland with UPS at no cost, they replaced the motherboard (not the display, this just remained the same!)
I've received the repaired 910 after 5 days and I've spent no one cent! And I've got also the battery, AC power supply and software replacement! Other problems of the software are still present: the unit won't cange colors by night-light changes (only one time after a reset...), tryes to connect to phantom computers, after a power on it get off and then on if connected on the car support,...
The 910 is a crazy device, not stable at all. I think I'll change it with the new model Go930T
