Connectingit hooking it up

The exact list of parts for a dishwasher hook-up would depend on the existing plumbing and electrical . There are three hook-ups needed; a hot water feed, typically from under the sink. A Tee is installed on the hot water line with a valve, and the hot water line to the dishwasher is connected to the valve. A drain line from the dishwasher is installed under the sink. It connects to the sink drain. The Electrical connection can be made using the appropriate electrical cord.
There are specific guidelines and considerations on how to connect the drain line under the sink, and what is required for the electrical hook-up. If you do a search on "how to install a dishwasher" you will be able to find extensive information.

I need a parts list; I found a stray part in the bottom of the dishwasher

I use PartsSelect.com. Input your model number, they have parts diagrams next to the parts description. There is a button below the parts diagram in the part listing to see all the parts shown in the diagram. Multiple diagrams for the various parts of the dishwasher.

Candy 650 dishwasher.....opened door and loud cracking sound, door now very heavy. Think door spring snapped, how do i get to it and where do i get spares from?

The door springs are attached to the bottom of each side of the door. You have to pull the dishwasher out far enough to see the area or all the way out if you have sides on yours. It hooks on the door and another hook on the washer frame.
Post your model number HERE to find a diagram and parts.

Assuming that this is your motor. You only need the black and red wires. Just put a switch in between the black wire and the other ground wire you are using

Where can I buy the cable repair kit for my Kitchenaid dishwasher

OK, pretty easy fix. Look at diagram 10 here: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5164885

The link (#24) probably broke and the spring (#18) probably shot off and is lying somewhere behind the dishwasher. Just pull out the dishwasher (careful not to disconnect or crimp any of the hoses) and check to see if both springs (one on each side) can be located. Just replace the old links and re-hook the springs and all should be well.

You can order the link replacement (part #8194001) from kitchenaid at 1-800-422-1230.

New install; where to hook up old wiring/plug to ASKO

There should be an installers/repair guide folded up behind the front panel. Check for that as it will show a wireing diagram. I won't be able to get any info until Jan 2. Let me know what you find.

New hook up

That vent hose is called a condensation tube. it runs from the right side of the dishwasher up in a loop then back down into the back base of the machine. it allows the dishwasher to breathe in a sense during a wash since it makes a complete seal. if that tube was obstructed or not directed in the up-loop then back down into the base, then it would be possible for water to pressurize through the seals and leak some water onto the floor. kind of like shaking up a new soda bottle. it helps release pressure from the heat. it wont leak water into the base but the tube will accumulate humidity which is normal and will evaporate quickly.
