Hard re-set the unit by pressing and holding down the main power button (front panel) for 5 - 7 seconds (from the off position). it will beep 3 or four times. You will need the composite video cables the unit came with to get bak into the units video settings.

I have a logic tv which is just out of guarantee. Worked perfectly. Switched it off during the weekend. When I switched it on yesterday, I have sound but no picture. Any suggestions please?

Hi CJ,

First let's make sure you simply haven't pressed the MUTE button on the TV or LogicTV set top box (if equipped - I'm unfamiliar with LogicTV but most of these problems come back to a pretty simple solution). Adjust the volume down to 1/4 level.

If that is OK, make sure that you have selected the correct audio output mode for LogicTV. Typically, a Stereo Output is offered that uses a traditional Left and Right cable and jacks. The jacks are usually Red and White and labeled L and R. Other audio options include a Coaxial or Optical output over a single audio cable. This may be call a Digital Audio or Dolby Digital output. Finally, an HDMI output may be offered that sends BOTH the video AND audio over a single cable with a wider, flat jack that looks a *little* like a USB plug.

Determine which audio type your LogicTV uses and make sure that you have directed the LogicTV to use that same connection in the setup. Next, check that the A /V input for LogicTV is ALSO using the same audio type in the TV set up. If all is set right and there is still no audio continue below.

Next, we need to determine if there is no audio on ALL input sources of the TV. Try connecting an A / V device such as a VHS, DVD, video game console to one of the other A / V inputs of the TV and select it. Start the device and once you have a picture, check for sound. if you do not have sound, there may be a problem with the TV speaker or amplifier.

If you have sound, that eliminates a problem with the TV speaker and amplifier. Remove the VHS / DVD/ Game cables from the TV input. Move the LogicTV input cables to the input jacks that were just used by the VHS / DVD / Game and see if you can hear the sound in the new input selection. If not, there may be a problem with the LogicTV set top box.

Hopefully, you've found the problem! Good luck!

ok you have to reset the ps3 by turning of backswitch wait 10 seconds turn on the backswitch then press and hold down the front power button for 10 seconds you should hear 2-3 beeps that does it just wait and the video settings have automatically detected your tv settings and are going to ask you to save hit x to save display settings on ps3 remote problem solved. If you still get problem message me cause its technically bad.

Iam not able to get a picture from my hdmi cable, but can still here sound. tried three different hdmi cables... please can you help...

1. Your Connections Are Faulty

Quite often, the cause of the no picture problem is a simple one - loose cords. Make sure that the cords are plugged in tightly, both on the TV side and the PS3 side. This is especially true with the HDMI cable connection on the PS3. Often, it looks tight, but you still might need to wiggle it a bit more to seat it correctly. Along the same lines, make sure that the cords you are using are new and match the connections properly on both the TV and your console.

2. Wrong Connection Settings

If you are using the HDMI/DVI cables and you don't get any picture, make sure to check your video ouput settings. If your PS3 thinks you are using standard A/V cords to connect to the set, you'll have issues. The opposite is true too - if you are using the A/V cords and your PS3 thinks otherwise, you'll have the same no picture problem. Make sure you settings match the types of cable connectors you are using.

3. Wrong Resolution Setting

This is also an easy mistake to make that can result in no picture showing on your television screen. For example, if you've been using your PS3 with an HDTV and then try to hook it up to a standard definition television set, you'll encounter this issue. The cure is simple; just go into your settings and switch back to standard resolution and then restart your system. The 720p resolution is the default setting and this should work for most standard definition televisions.

I just bought a PS3 slim and hooked it up to my 65'' Toshiba DLP TV using a HDMI cable. The problem is i have picture but no sound. I have tried the settings and all seems to be fine, also tried different...

not 100% sure but check the manual for your tv it may be that you need a faster hdmi cable, as with having a larger tv it will work at a faster rate so the basic hdmi cables wont work.

Our receiver is connected to our cable box via an HDMI cable. Picture and audio show up fine, then goes out for a minute and then comes back--this keeps happening. Every time the picture/sound disappear,...

Connect the TV directly to cable box to make sure the TV and cable box are ok. If you have picture then the receiver is no good. Some Denons have problem with HDMI board (digital unit).

Xbox 360-no audio output

You may need to go into your TV settings and turn on HDMI Audio. If this is not enabled (Typically on HDMI 1) The TV will not ask the 360 for Audio and as such won't pull it.

No sound on tv when laptop connected via hdmi

if you are running windows xp or linus i may not be able to help altought the problem might be solved in almoust the same way. For windows vista right click on the volume icon in the system tray icons and choose playback devices select HDMI output ( for 5920G is "Realtek HDMI Output" ) then press the "Set Default" button. The other way around is to go in the Control Pannel in the "Hardware and sound" cthegory and select sount than seth the default output to Realtek HDMI Output in the "Control Pannel Home" view, or in Classic view click/doubble click on "Sound" icon ( a speaker ) and do the same. In windows XP there is a similar approach. In linux go to System ->> Administration ->> Soundcard Detection and you should find a setting equivalent to the one in Windows

Picture but no sound after using a converter for the hdmi cord to plug into a television without a hdmi plug

Make sure you double check your Audio settings on your PS3 so that they are being output by HDMI.

If that doesn't work, it may be that the adapter/converter you're using does not support audio within its adapter (not plugged up to the audio ports on your tv) If that's the case, then you may want to look into either component/composite video/audio or a fiber optic cord for sound (if your tv can support this)
