Y main board removal

Hello, I have the same problem with a Phillips 42PF7321 and will send the Y main to PTS, but the board seems to be stuck on the center stand-off where the screw was removed. Any tricks to getting the board out? I don't want to force the board. Thanks for your time

The board is mounted with a sponge-like heat sink material that seems like it is glued down. It is not. You can remove the board by carefully applying a constant lifting force. I believe I grasped the board by the aluminum heatsink so as to not flex and break the board.

I have an 51pp9100d/37 Phillips Tv, and i the red and green colors on the picture are skewed to a weird, almost sideways, S shape. I was wondering if this is an easy fix and cheap, i don't really know...

From what you have said it seems that you need to replace the Convergence ICs, they are Big Black ICs and will have Part number on them ,example STK392-110
Mats Electronics has Parts $9.95 each IC. 1-800-628-1118
PTS rebuilts boards 1-800-844-7871

Hi where can I get a new DM board, part no. 934C067001

The only location I know would be through Mitsubishi or through PTS Corp. PTS is a rebuild company and they may be able to referbish it and send it back to you. Many of the DM boards are no longer available through Mitsubishi if it is older than 5 years old.
I hope this helps,

The cable thing on the back on the flatscreen broke off from up inside the tv so we cant watch cable we can hook up the dvd to it with the red, white and yellow cord so can i fix it or maybe buy a different...

you will need to remove the tuner board, and if its soldered onto the main-board take it out and hope its just pulled out of the board and it didn't crack the circuit board, they can be fixed, but the trace is soooooo small you'll be lucky if you don't bridge connections upon repair and ruin something else.....good luck.........daniel
if you need a repl board/tuner go to the P.T.S. tuner service web-site in bloomington,ind/great people. i don't mean to sound crass, but these can be a stinker to work on in certain circumstances and pts gives you a warranty and saves you time,i have dealt with them before

Phillips Plasma 42" TV

It is most likely a power supply failure and if there had been no signs of problems in the video display, it is probably the main power supply rather than one dedicated to the plasma display itself.
You might leave it unplugged overnight to give any stored charge inside the unit a chance to bleed off, the remove the back panel.
The primary supply is normally on a separate board and is characterized by having mostly larger components, including one or more transformers with black ferrite cores. The main supply will be associated closer to the AC input while the high voltage supply which may or may not be separate is not.
If you can locate the board with some confidence, check it visually for any signs of heat such as discoloration of board or components. If it seems OK it may be a candidate for exchange or repair by Philips.
I wouldn't advise removing and sending it before you talk to Philips to see if this is a familiar problem to them.

Where to located Boards

I would suggest you send your boards or the complete chassis to a company called PTS Electronics.

They will do a complete test of the boards and replace the defective components.

Need Diode part numbers for Philips Y-Main board

Not serviceable at component level, yeah right! They wish it isn't - it's a well known fact that electronics manufacturer's spare parts divisions generate more profit (with less revenue) than the retail units.

Long story short, we've serviced tens if not hundreds of those boards and we certainly aren't one of the biggest "unauthorized" service centers around.

I.e. we do not have a Samsung license and frankly, we don't need one.

LJ41-02759A is anything, but a black box and its weaknesses are well known within the service tech's community.

For D5001 you can use any 1A fast or ultra-fast rectifier diode with at least 200V reverse voltage. We use this:
