Open Question

Wiring problem I bought 2 7" Nesa headrest monitors model NRM-7002 serial# L703LAM0437. The wiring was cut from directly under the headrest. Can I buy that wiring anywhere so I can hook them up in my car?

Do you have printable installation instructions for the Roadview RHM 7.0 headrest? We seem to have misplaced ours. Thank you

Headrests slots are different in many vehicles. You can take the slots out of your other car & install them into the SUV bit it is a pain to do. Most are sewed in. Take small edged knife with thin blade, cut down the side of the slot, close to metal so to cut the stiches holding it in place. Some use Glue. Then take out other slots from headrest in SUV, same way. If glued, thats good, just glue your set to use back in. If stiched, just buy Auto Uphostery Glue & use that. Will work. Good Luck, not easy task.

I just bought my car and it has a nesa nscm 1128 ovehead dvd mounted. I can not figure out how it works. No manual. Someone said it works with the radio?

It all depends on what Radio Unit you've got fitted in the car.

Their could be a separate DVD Player mounted somewhere in the Car, possibly in the boot.

If you can look to see if there is a separate DVD Player anywhere and confirm whats the Make & Model No. of your Radio Unit I'l look into it further.

The cords that connect into the bottom of the DVD headrest monitor has been stripped. Do I need new cable cords?

If you would like to have a temporary fix, I would disconnect the cables from the headrest unit, use electrical tape to cover the bare wires, and then go to Radio Shack or another hobby shop and get shrink tubing. Do not cut the shrink tubing along the length of the tube, only cut it to the size of the area that you need to cover. Then you can use a hairdryer on the highest heat to shrink the tubing down in order to cover the exposed wires.

I just bought the dual headrest from walmart and can not get the sound to work the passenger side. can anyone help me with this?or possibly tell me how to get the sound through the stereo.

The monitor only headrest does not have audio handling circuitry in it. the wire harness for that side is the one with the red and black wire, and the two video inputs, not the harness with the red and black wire and the three RCA jacks. It will function on the wrong harness, but it is not the correct one.

The DVD headrest has two harnesses. One of them is for power and output, the other is for input only from another source. The harness with the red and black wire has the three RCA outputs... the video lead goes to the other headrest, and the audio can be fed to an aux input on a stereo or amplifier. The input harness is designed to be Video 2 input from either a gaming system (a Game Cube is a nice option), or another DVD or video source (hand held video device such as iPod or Smart Phone like a HTC Touch Pro 2).

To get sound out of the stereo, either run the audio output from the headrest to the aux input on your stereo, or cycle the FM transmit options using the FMTX button on the DVD player unit to a station you can tune to on your car's FM radio.

Do the headrests detach?? If they do, you can buy the pair of 7" headrest DVD/Monitors all-in-one from Farenheight (made by Jensen). I have used these several times. Not only do the headrests match, but the product lasts too! The best part is that they are about 1/2 the price of many others.

Can hear sound from front 2 headrest but not back 2 (T-view 10'')

sounds like you have a couple of problems. 1) your headrests accessory wire is not hooked up or it doesnt have one, that would fix your problem with the movies starting all over again. check this by changing your color really high or low on a monitor turn the key off wait a few seconds then on again then check to see if the color stayed the same, if it did then you may have low quality or off brand monitors. 2) the sound issue could be kind of tricky the rear headrests may be hooked up but you may need to turn the sound on trough the head unit and this all depends on the make and model you have. i would suggest you take this to your local stereo shop or wherever you had it originally intalled. they should be able to check this out for you.

Fuse size?

i'd say use a small value, such as 5 amp or less. did you wire this up yourself? most stuff like this comes with an in-line fuse already built into the red power wire. in that case you wouldn't need to have additional fusing.
