SOURCE: Wii will not turn on... no red light

Sounds like the unit may have experienced over voltage, there is a fuse on the board however I would take the easy route and test a new power brick to see if this solves the issue. Thank you

SOURCE: my WII shuts off immediately when I turn on the power button

You might have overheated the wii, try it again when it cools down.

SOURCE: My Wii has broke down...

It is very possible that the power brick may have gone bad. If at all possible (such as a friend has a Wii) then try a new plug on the Wii and see if that fixes it. If not then double check the wall outlet. If you still have no power on the Wii then you may have a defective unit. Some computer repair shops will try to diagnose the problem for you if you would like to take one in, but the price for repairs may be more than just buying a new Wii...

Best of luck

I can't turn on the Wii. The red light is always on and when I press the power button (or even the eject button) the blue light is flashing (Only when I press those buttons). I tried the solution of...

Try pressing the power button down and holding it for a few seconds and see if your WII comes back to life. When I first got my Wii I would hold down the button just long enough for it to turn green. This seems like a standby mode. To get my Wii to turn off completly I needed to hold down
the button until it turned red and when restarting the WII I held doen the button until the Wii started back up.

Power outage this am. Wii won't even turn on

Usually, after a power outage, a power spike (when the power returns) can disable/blow the fuse in the AC adapter for the Wii.

Try the following steps in this order:

FIRST:
- unplug the Wii's power cord from the wall, and leave it unplugged (from 5 mins. to 5 hours). Then, plug it back into the wall. (Unplugging the power cord from the back of the Wii will not help. You need to unplug the power cord from the wall.)
- This usually helps reset the fuse circuit in the AC adapter, and your Wii should work again.

SECOND:
- open the panel on the AC adapter box in the power cord; since the screws are proprietary, you will need to creatively use existing tools to turn the screws
- check the 3A fuse in that box; if it looks blown, then replace it

THIRD:
- it might be cheaper to replace the AC adapter with another one

FOURTH:
- get the unit repaired

MUST DO:
- buy a SURGE PROTECTOR power bar, and plug all of your expensive items into it (to prevent this from happening again).

Hope that helps!
