Question about Black & Decker B2300 Bread Machine
I had the same problem and what you need to do is hold the start button down for 3 seconds and that will clear the default setting (1 3:30). Then select the settings you need starting with the program setting for your recipe (i.e. #4 for sandwich bread). Bear in mind that you may not be able to select your crust light/dark option for some recipes, but will be able to select the loaf size. I assume this is because the recipe program (i.e. #4 for sandwich loaf) is already prescribed in the setting. When you have all of your selections then press your start button, but don't hold it down for longer than a second because it will clear everything and you will have to start again from step 1. Good luck!

Addressing Power-up/Start-up Issues:
1. Unplug the breadmaker.
2. Confirm the power source you're accessing is live using a blender, toaster, etc.
3. Plug the breadmaker in.
4. Confirm the breadmaker is receiving power:
3. No, you were not able to confirm that your breadmaker is receiving power? Sorry to hear that. Attempt to have the breadmaker serviced by a small appliance repair facility or discard it.
4. Yes, you have confirmed that your breadmaker is receiving power? Fantastic! Now reboot the breadmaker's electronics by pressing down continuously on the Start button until you notice a visible and/or audible confirmation, usually within 5 to 10 seconds. Beware: Some models require you press the Select button first to select a mode, then press and hold the Start button to reboot the system.
That should fix it. Hope this helps!
Special Note: Often the + and - Timer Delay buttons are pressed by mistake, delaying Start by up to 12 hours. If you suspect the Timer Delay feature has been engaged accidentally, you'll need to reboot the breadmaker's electronics. You can do this by pressing down on the Start button continuously until you notice a visible and/or audible confirmation, usually within 5 to 10 seconds. Beware: Some models require you press the Select button first to select a mode, then press and hold the Start button to reboot the system.
