Open Question

Lexmark T 630 - does not respond

I have a Lexmark T 630 with duplex. A few hours ago everything worked fine. But now, it does not respond (no LED light, no output on the printer screen, no noise at all). It is connected to electricity. The power socket works fine with other devices.

Do you know what the problem could be?
What can I do to make it work again?

I could see no piece of loose rubber on the feeder wheels that guide the paper through for copying. The clicking is coming directly from that area. So for now....I just open the top of my printer where I scan pictures....and then copy from there.

SOURCE: 5652 and Vista - duplex print not working

In Vista the default s the duplexer is "not installed". Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Printers, double-click on the Deskjet, Printers, Properties, Device Settings and set the duplexer to "Installed".

If the duplexer prints the back side upside down in Vista once it is enabled you can get a patch as described here.

If you are confident with electronics, remove the rear casing near the power socket, and check the power supply board for a fuse. Using an exact match, replace the fuse and replace the cover. Try powering up. If it fails, you have a blown power supply :(

Make sure the wireless LAN of your computer is set to AdHoc mode if the Printer is set to that function.

T632 duplex jams

Please ensure the power connector wires for the fuser are routed properly so as not to rub on the aluminum bar that is used during the duplex function.

IBM L190 LCD - the LED beside the power button corner cycles green for 1 second, off for 1 second as soon as it is plugged in. The unit won't power up, the LED just cycles green/off whenever it is plugged...

It's clear the problem is the display, but you can still try these 1. unplug and replug while the both is on 2. turn on, off couple of times 3. keep the LCD on for about one hour these are anyway temporary fixes :(

Lexmark X5470 powers on and off constantly

I encountered the exact same problem with my Lexmark X5470. After a power failure on Aug 20, the printer would reboot itself every few seconds. I unplugged the power cord and/or adapter for a few minutes and after replugging, it worked fine. However, the problem returns after I power off the printer and then turn it back on, in which case I unplug again for a few minutes. Hope this helps.

The duplex option is not working anymore on my Lexmark C760

Check in printer menus if duplex is recognized by the printer, is not try to see if connector between printer and duplex is not damage. I had this same problem and had the replace the connector. damaged it connecting the printer to it.

No power

Hi Bret! Since this is a brand new printer, I would advise calling Lexmark. I'm afraid that you may void your warranty if you do much more at this point except for going back through the steps to make sure the duplexer was installed correctly.
1. Power off the printer and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet
2. Push the release button, and gently lower the front door.
3. Release the green tabs and lift up the image transfer belt.
4. Remove the cover over the duplex connector.
5, Remove the duplex option from the packaging. Carefully install the option into the printer, under the image transfer unit. NOTE: Make sure to line up the arrows on the duplex option with the arrows on the printer. Make sure the duplex option locks into position.
6. Lower the image transfer belt back into position. Make sure the belt locks into position.
7. Close the front cover.
8. Plug the printer back in, then power the printer on.
9. Try printing a few pages to confirm that the duplex option is securely installed. Then select the duplex option in the software and print a few double-sided pages to confirm that the duplex option is working.

If the above does't work, I would strongly suggest contacting Lexmark for further help.

have you tried to reset the whole printer to factory defaults

**411 -> 4 -> 1 then the green go button
