Question about AMD IC Power CN5560 Laptop
I ugraded the ram in my laptop now I have a black screen on my AMD IC Power CN5560. When I turn it on I hear the power but nothing else happens wha can I do or what could be the problem. Never had this problem before had the ladtop for about 2 years now. I appreciate any help
Obtain an anti static wrist strap to wear, remove the battery, new ram, unplug the cmos batter(if possible), and the ac adapter. Hold the power button for 60seconds. Re-insert the old working ram only, plug the cmos battery back in, pop the battery back in, the ac adapter, and power it back up. If you still get a black screen, you may have either fried the memory chips when you touched them, and need a new ones, or worse, you fried the motherboard:(

Did you install the RAM yourself? Did you make sure that it "snapped" into place? Is the RAM compatible with the laptop? (as it is 2 yrs old, you might have gotten some RAM that is not compatible with the laptop) If you put in the old RAM, does the laptop still work? Sorry, but there's not a lot of information to go on in order to troubleshoot your problem. I'm just giving you my ideas as to what is the problem.
