Syntax motherboar error beep code

Hi, I've tried to upgrade my machine from an athlon to a Sempron. At re-start, the hd cd and dvd lights went on, as normal, but no screen on the monitor and a beep of one sec followed by a 1 sec of pause, in countinuous sequence. Can anybody provide the error code of this beep? There is not in the Manual and I couldn't find it on the Internet. Thanks in advance Liviu

    Thank you, Sandrew,

Another detaail that I've forgott to mention:after trying the Sempron cpu and getting the error beep, I've switched back to the original cpu and I've got THE SAME 1 SECOND BEEP!

And I reset the bios a couple of times ! with both cpus !No result, the same beep.

That's why I was asking for the beep code.

    Good day,

Unfortunately I cannot find any information on the mb manual regarding the BIOS type.

The only new information I can provide is regarding the beep parameters; is beeping 2 sec and between two beeps there are 5 sec.

Maybe somebody can figure out something... what means this.

    Thanks, Liviu

I can't find a manual or any info on your motherboard. If you can tell me who makes your BIOS I can probably get you the error code.

You may need to reset the cmos on jbat1 terminal with the jumper across pins 2-3 then back to pins 1-2, then boot up and reset time, date and hdd, press f10 to save and exit. this is all assuming your board supports the sempron processor as well as the athlon

Try DEL.

Try F1.

With the computer turned-off, hold-down the SPACE BAR.
Turn the computer on, until you get "keyboard error, press <blah> to enter BIOS-setup". Press the <blah> key.

Power to everything but CPU fan and case fan - won't boot

Hi this is tech crazy

The solution to the problem is as follows

The main reason for CPU fan overworking or not working is due to the load we put on the syatem while operating. So,the first reason for fan not working may be due to the SMPS malfunctionality.Better check out for it.The reason if fan is working but Overworking is due to viruses is system. So go in for format

Hope this solution helps you

Please do rate me on the above said solution

How to upgrade

Here is the list of compatible processors for your motherboard:

AMD Athlon 650, 700, 750, 800, 850, 900, 950, 1.0G, 1.1G, 1.2G, 1.3G, 1.33G, 1.4G (Thunderbird)
AMD Athlon MP 1.0G, 1.2G, 1500+, 1600+, 1800+, 1900+, 2000+, 2100+ (Palomino)
AMD Athlon MP 2000+, 2200+, 2400+, 2600+ (Thoroughbred)
AMD Athlon MP 2800+ (Barton)
AMD Athlon XP 1500+, 1600+, 1700+, 1800+, 1900+, 2000+, 2100+ (Palomino)
AMD Athlon XP 1600+, 1700+, 1800+, 1900+, 2000+, 2100+, 2200+, 2400+, 2600+, 2700+, 2800+ (Thoroughbred)

AMD Athlon XP 2000+, 2200+, 2400+ (Thorton)
AMD Sempron 2200+, 2300+, 2400+, 2500+, 2600+, 2800+ (Thoroughbred)
AMD Sempron 2200+, 2400+, 2500+, 2600+, 2800+ (Thorton)
AMD Sempron 3000+ (Barton)
AMD Duron 600, 650, 700, 750, 800, 850, 900, 950 (Spitfire)
AMD Duron 1.0G, 1.1G, 1.2G, 1.3G (Morgan)
AMD Duron 1.4G, 1.6G, 1.8G (Applebred)
You motherboard uses a "Socket A" CPU and therefore has limits to how high you can go.. I would recommend the XP 2200 or 2400+ as a good choice, but you can make your own choice.
