Built in webcam won't work with Skype

I have a Gateway USB 2.0 webcam built into my laptop. I chose that option when setting up Skype Video Settings, but it will not send video to other caller, nor will it automatically launch even tho' the "launch when I start a call" option is checked.

Skype help website makes it sound so easy, but it's not working at all and I have no idea why. Can you help?

If this will not find your webcam then its either a driver issue or it has failed on you. Sorry for the bad news if video test can find it !

  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Audio Settings.
