    What type of internet do you have? AT&T? Yahoo? Time Warner Cable? Verizon? Is this at home or at a business?

    Depends, is this a Windows username and password to log into your computer? Does the computer log into a network like at you place of business? Is it a username and password issued to you by your Internet Service Provider to log onto your Cable or Phone DSL? Have you successfully logged in before but have just forgotten the login? Are you trying to crack someone else's computer that we should not help you with?

You need to call your ISP (Internet Service Provider) for that.

How to program to my new enternet connection

I don't know what model that use, however here the best explanation for you..

Preparation:
1. Username and password for router.
2.Username and password for provider internet.
3.Ethernet cable (rj45 connection)
5. Pc /laptop to setup router ( on step i'm referred to pc)
4. Web browser( more preferred to using internet explorer current version)

Step:
1. Plug Ethernet cable to router
2. Plug another end Ethernet cable to pcthat you are using to setup
(Now you have cable was connected between pc and router)
3.Switch on the router.
4.Open web browser. Or click here http://192.168.1.1
5.Some window will popup
6.Enter the username and password for router. If default( mean you don't change username or password,you can leave blank for username and fill password with "admin")
If still can't enter try search at google with your model and brand for username and password default.
7.After success enter, then using the wizard .
8. Fill the username and password for provider.
9.FInish.

For step 7th, to 9th, you can directly go setup internet connection( depend to model, sometimes it just type setup) where you will find ppp username and ppp password.. change it..

Hi

There is 2 Usernames when it comes to Routers.

1st is the USERNAME and Password you use to get into the Router configurations which is the following.
Username: admin
Password: admin
The above username and password is the Factory setting and only the password can be changed by an user. SO if it was not changed the password will still be admin or you can reset the modem to reset the password back to admin.

2nd is the Username and Passsword you get from your Internet Service Provider which usually is the email address and whatever password you gave them to set your internet up

Hi there what password do you want to get? The router password or your Account password for your ISP?


If it's a router password the default username and password are the list below.

1. username: admin password: password
2. username: admin password: admin
3. username: admin password: <blank> -> (just hit enter on your keyboard)

2. If it's a account password you need to call your ISP (Internet Service Provider)

You need to hard reset your modem. By doing that, unplug the modem from the power outlet. Look at the back of the modem, you will see there a small red button. You need to press that button. You need to get a pin or pen to press that reset button. Press the reset button for 5 mins. Monitor the power light. It will change to orange light and it will restart. Once it restarted, you can release the reset button and wait for the lights to come up. Since you did the hard reset. You need to configure the modem with your username and password from your ISP.
You need to access the gui or firmware of your modem. If it ask for username and password. This is the time you need to contact your ISP. They will help you to configure the modem. Once they provided you the username and password ofr your modem. Write it down so you will have a copy and in case it happen again you know what to do. Username and password for the modem is different from the username and password for your internet. You also need to enter the username and password for the internet so you can use the internet. If you get a red light for the internet, that means the username and password is incorrect.
If this didnt work. You need to replace your modem.

My comcast modem's internet connection just died a while ago the only light that is on is the power light, and i have rebooted the modem already. how can i fix this?

Can not connect to the internet in trying to setup the router.


Yes time warner is a cable connection and they dont require a username and pasword. You can set up the router manually by accessing its set up page. By default the router's IP is 192.168.2.1. Make sure to set the wan connection type to dynamic, change the wan mac address or clone your pc's mac. Then save the settings. Check your internet connection.

You will need to create your PPPOE internet connection on the router using your ISP username and password, access the router by opening internet explorer and type in the ip address of the router (example) > http://192.168.2.1 the router logon window will appear, use the username " leave blank" and the password "admin" -or- username "admin" with password 1234.
