My Vaio has a129 D drive but only a 13m C drive. Despite moving everything I can to the D drive I am now down to 2.5 mg on the C drive. Why did they build them this way? How do I either enlarge the C drive or move everthing to the D drive?

Re: RUNNING OUT OF C DRIVE
Here is what you can do...
1. Copy all crucial data to any external drive, if you have one. Make the partitions again and reload everything.
2. We have utilities like Partition Magic, which help you change your partitions, like you can increase the disk space available.

This can be a sign of a memory failure, either the RAM is not clearing or the hard drive is on its' way out. Hold the power button down for 6 seconds for a "hard shutdown". Then restart and see if the problem persists.
if the coolnt level is ok try bleeding the system little 8mm bleed screw on coolant rail check the water valve is open and moves when the temp control is rotated i think your problem is the little valve located in the heaterhose at the back of the engine you will need a new hose
windows - start - control panel - administration - computer administration - hard drive administration - resize your C drive to bigger capacity, but first resize D drive to smaller capacity to free a space for C drive enlarge, then apply setting, reboot, my computer drive C right click - propertis- service - defragmentation and same operation and chek it for errors
This car doesn't have coils and wires, it's gasoil. The most likely reason is the piezo injectors are worn. The best way to test is with VCDS After an overnight stationary period drive the vehicle with cold engine between 1200 - 1600 rpm till the complaint occurs. Constantly read the measured value block 13 and 14 for the smooth running control in the engine control unit. The values of one or several cylinders should noticeably move to positive.

Its possible that you already have a bad hard drive. It may have crashed. Your system will not boot without the hard drive running. The computer will keep on trying to look for the Hard drive that's probably why it looks like its doing nothing. Bring your machine to sony and have them fix it. If you know how to open up your Vaio, try to check the Hard drive connection and see it its loose, if its not loose. its time to replace the hard drive.
Well I would recommend upgrading your RAM to 2 GB (Your standard model comes with 1/4 of that) and a 250 GB drive. The RAM would cost you about $80 in parts and perhaps $30 labour and the hard drive should be about $60 in parts and $20 labour. I don't recommend upgrading processors as it can cause warranty problems down the road.
