Question about Panasonic DVX-100 Camcorder

1 Answer

Panasonic dvx parts

I own a Panasonic ag-dvx100p that has some problems. Parts for this unit have been discontinued. Parts are still available for the ag-dvx100a. As far as i can tell by internet research the cameras are essetially identical. Does anyone know if there was any significant changes to the hardware between the two models?

We are one of the Panasonic ASC and so far we had no problem with DVX100P parts. Although that model has been discontinued parts are still available.
Most of the DVX100A parts are common for DVX100P

My brand new Panasonic AG HVX200A makes a rattling sound

This is not a problem actually, but is the sound of a moving coil used for O.I.S.It seems that when power is off this part is moving freely, that's all don't worry.

My panasonic dvx 100b is from 2004. it's always worked great but now when I put in a new tape the first 5 minutes or so the audio does not record consistantly. It drops out over and over then its fine.

HELLO!
this camcorder needs some adjustments in the mechanism, the drop outs in the beggining of tape shows that tape tension is unstable in the begin of tape. The mech unit if its cleaned and drops continues must be replaced, this unit is not easy to adjust..very small parts,TAKE UP T2 POST ROLLER NEEDS ALIGNMENT Attention. PSD Warning Panasonic DVX 102A

I can help you with this.Disassemble the right side which includes the lcd display,so you can see the lens unit.Use a blower to blow air inside and point it to the lens.Better if you can remove the lens unit and blow air on it with caution and then assemble it back the problem disappears.
PS
If problem insists remove ccd block and apply inside a small amount of grease on the metal axis inside ois coil which is used for moving coil mechanism for optical stabiliser purposes.CAUTION THIS ONLY IF NO RESALTS WITH THE ABOVE METHOD.GOOD LUCK!

Panasonic AG-DVC10

There are eight separate parts that make up the DVC10 power switch assembly. Total cost for these is about $48 from Panasonic parts or authorized distributors.

Cameras that do not turn on usually do not require replacement of the switch parts, since the problem is on the main board or power/battery assembly.
