First off get the arcsoft media converter 3, then drag and drop the videos you want to get on your mp3 player into the program, after it converts it it loads them onto your mp3 player as long as its connected, this program will also allow you to download youtube videos and put them on your mp3 player too

I need a video convecter for my ``Philips GoGear ViBE``

Ok, please note that the videos downloaded directly from the internet may not work properly on the player. You have to first convert them into a format that is suitable to the player using Philips media converter.

Download the Philips Media Converter software from this link:
http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=SA6045/37&slg=en&scy=US

Make sure corresponding Codec for playing videos is installed before downloading. The codecs are required to play videos on your player. To download Codec, you can:

1. Go to www.download.com/windows
2. Search for "directshow codec pack"
3. Download and install one of the codec packs from the list of results

Now to download video, connect your player to the PC and click the icon "Internet video downloader" at your desktop.

Open the website where your desired video clip locates eg. Youtube. Move the cursor over the video you want to download until you see the Download icon. Double click on the icon to enable download.

After downloading, the Media Converter for Philips will then start to convert the video to the format that suits your player. If your player is connected to the PC, the video will be transferred to the player automatically.

Hope this helps..

I cant figure out how to put music videos on my mp2 and how to format it?

mp2 will not recognize music videos, and there's no other way that it will work for that format. Only mp4 and latest version is designed for audio and video format.

mp2, stands for m-peg audio layer II - does recognized only audio format files.

mp4 - recognized audio and visual digital format.

Unable to convert video for i.Beat emo

you just need Video Download Studio to help you. Video Download Studio enables you to convert between almost any video/audio formats
including Video formats (H.264, MP4, WMV, AVI, MOV, RM, 3GP, flv, SWF, mpeg-1,
mpeg-2, VCD, SVCD, DVD, etc.) and Audio formats (AC3, AAC, MP2, MP3, MP4, RA, WMA,
etc.).

I can't get my downloaded video files to transfer onto my device

it does work with vista, the reason it won't convert, is because you do not have the latest video codecs on your computer.

Do a google search for software called Prism Video converter, it is free and if you try and convert a video file on this, it will automatically download the codecs you need to convert it to the correct format. Once it downloads the correct codecs, load up your arcsoft media converter for philips that your unit came with and convert it. You have to use this program or it will not play on your player.

I have tons of tv shows downloaded, etc, and had to do it this way, AND I am using vista. Good Luck.

Stubborn refusal!

Go ahead and open the Philips Device Manager and run the "Repair" function. Warning: this will delete all files off your mp3 player.
1) Connect GoGear to computer
2) Open Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips in Windows XP if no shortcut on desktop)
3) Click on the Repair tab - see if there is a msg that says something like "to repair your player, connect GoGear to computer while holding the volume + button"
4)IMPORTANT: Disconnect the GoGear from the USB cable, turn the GoGear OFF, and then press and hold the volume + button; then, connect your GoGear to PC while still holding the volume + button (VERY IMPORTANT: this process will fix your player, but it will also delete all music and images you have stored on the GoGear) - do not let go of the Volume + button until a pop-up comes up saying that your player is being repaired

After the repair process is complete, your player should work fine - you will have to re-download all files to the GoGear.
