Hello, Can you please provide the year, make and model of your vehicle? Without a bench-test I'm guessing faulty solder connections on the circuit board - usually repairable. Please contact me if you would like more details on the repair.

Thank you,

How to remove a Clarion AB213R radio-Cassette ?

It depends on the type of Clarion Radio.

There are 2 types of Clarion Keys depending on the size of the removal slots in your radio  ...the older , larger version or the later slim version.

See the difference here

Available on Ebay , local car radio store etc

My car stereo stopped working. No light display. The display light went out first. The following year the radio, CD and cassette player stopped working.

Check radio fuse at the fuse block. OR if possible determine if you have
12 volts going to the radio. If so i would say the unit is toast.
These days it's hard to fix something for cheaper than it is to buy new.

Car wont start

I would check all the connections to the battery, sometimes corrosion will cause this problem. Also check where the other end of the battery connections join to the car. Could also be a bad solenoid or starter.

Sony car radio/CR/cassette doesn't hold pre recorded radio stations once ignition is turned off

run the yellow wire to the battery as its the memory wire and that will work if it is installed correctly and still does the same it can be the battery even if the battery still works.

2003 Lincoln LS

My 2001 Lincoln LS has done this 3 or 4 times in the last 8 years. I disconnected the battery (for a minute), pulled the fuse, held the 'load' 'eject' button simultaneously for about 1 minute, banged on the dash, slid a credit card along the opening...prayed : ) For 2 days it wouldn't work. Then today I pressed the CD button and it worked. I immediately removed the one 'burned' CD that I had in slot 5, The only think I can think might have affected it was-
1. Put in a new CD that one of our local gospel groups made.
2. Weather had been quite warm, then 2 days ago, it got freezing cold outside again????
I don't know? Probably just an idiopathic occurrence.
It is the Alpine head, LS sports package.
