Question about Acer Aspire 5050-3242 Notebook
I've an ACER Apire 5050 laptop for about 18months, which we use at home virtually every evening.
In the last week it has developed a screen problem. First it was a flicker that passed, now the screen stops responding or goes blank. only solution is to restart machine.
It's got really bad tonight so that it will only work with the screen in a particular position on desk. It seems particularly bad when using the laptop on my knee or if I move the screen position at all. if on the desk and not touching the screen at all, it works ok.
any idea what this might be ? I'm guessing a loose wire connecting keyboard to screen and am worried we will have to scrap it
Hold down the "Fn" Key and press the "F4" Key, wait a min, press the Enter key on the keyboard... Do this when it happens, the problem is the ribbon cable in the laptop that goes to the screen is loose, If you want to fix permanently, send in for repair to Acer if under warranty.
