My sanyo was working fine, then a child hit a button and now it says no input signal sources could be located how do I fix this

The TV has different inputs modes, the TV tuner being on of them, another mode(s) will accept an input from the input jack(s) on the back, front or side of your TV. Look for and source button or input button on the front of the TV, press it waiting a few seconds between each push until the picture returns.

25 inch sanyo tv

If the horizontal lines going through the picture are fine white lines, then I would suspect the picture tube as having a heater to cathode short or some other problem. Since some sets have had a 3 year warranty on the picture tube, you may be lucky unless the labor to replace the tube is more than the set is worth. Sanyo is usually not a good name in consumer electronics anymore, so if you're looking for a replacement I would look elsewhere.

Sanyo TV stretches outwards and shakes

If the picture is closing (top to bottom) and goes back to normal when you hit it you probably have a bad solder connection on IC501 (location number) the vertical deflection IC on a metal heat sink. If you mean outwards as in side to side as it looks in the picture, I don't know specifically where to solder but get a magnifying glass and look for suspected bad solder connections. Look for the word width if it is there. It is good that you a confident in soldering.

If you hit your tv in on/off switch panel the swicth need to replace but if you use remote control you system IC or Croma IC are defective.

Straight line picture

If you were able to tap on the set to get it working, then it means that the solder joints on the vertical output IC are cracked and loose. This is very common on those sets. Now, the pins of the IC could be so loose that they just wont work anymore, and simply resoldering the pins of the IC will cure your problem. However, it could also be that the loose pins have caused the IC to short out inside, in which case the IC will have to be replaced and most likely a small resistor in its power supply too. If you do not have experience working on things like that in TV sets, allow a qualified tech to handle it for you.
