I have a 2005 Toshiba Satellite A30 212 laptop which has started playing up. When surfing the net with more than 3 windows open or playing music while surfing the web, it suddenly turns itself OFF but will start again straight away when I press the on button.
One thing I have noticed is that the two cooling fans do be running at top speed when this happens and the underside of the computer does be quite warm.
When I do restart, windows displays the message that it was not shut down properly but I just let the timer run out and let it start up as normal.
Could this be a cooling problem; both fans do run normally but seem to be on alot more than normal
im using toshiba satelite SAE30-303 and a couple of days ago its having its own mind turning off by itself while im surfing the net with 4 windows open and/or while playing games (hitman). before the sudden shut-off occurs i will hear that the fan working hard as it makes a sound (not the normal sound). my OS is windows XPsp2, i've done a small tweak changing the standard bootscreen with the window7 look-a-like bootscreen. i have also a ACpowered USD hub connected. No, some sites have ads that are displayed using flash - they sometimes have music and it automatically starts to play.
Simple test to confirm that: install a different browser , with a much better security - like Opera or Firefox, then visit the same sites, you should still hear the song.
If you can start it up on safe mode go and back up the files that you needed because formatting the HD will be needed and reinstalling the operating system. You can also download malwarebytes first and run it during safe mode. once it is finish restart it in normal mode if it does not work perform the 1st step above.
Hi there, Your ac adapter is damaged & that's why power does not transfer in your notebook. The capacitor of adapter is burned & that's why the noise started. Thanks & waiting for your feedback.
install a new operating system using dark edition win xp profetional and install the given board drivers and then try. if not you try to check where the pin is to be inserted and see if it is loose then try the person who nows electronics to fix it back for you
