I am a young woman and dont know much about this stuff!! I just bought this system and seem to have it hooked up ok, everything is working so far. My only problem is when I play a Dvd there is loud humming noise. What can this be?

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Have dvd that say check regional code how do i do this ?

sounds like you have purchased the wrong region coded dvd`s when you bought them from amazon? if you are in the US you can only play Region 1, Europe is Region 2 and so on. Unless you purchase a mlti region machine which is obviously not what you want to do then the only other play of playing the wrong region discs is to buy a cheap dvd player which has "DivX" compatability which will play any region for you.

Cd/dvd player noise

Something could have been misalligne or not sitting properly in the DVD rom...if the grinding sound is mechanical. The only possible way to cure this is to open the DVD ROM and service its mechanism. Observe DISC that is played if there's any sign of scratches...sign tells that its touching or rubbing something.
Good Luck.

Whining noise

The problem i had was when i would play my tv. I had it hooked from my dish to the sony then the tv. When i played a dvd,cd or the tuner it didn't make that noise. It seems my video/audio 2 channel was going bad. I disconnected my rca jacks and used the optical audio connection. The noise stopped and i got a better quality sound.

hope this helps

Need help with the system

Did you connect your TV to the DVD player via video cable (S-video, composite, or component)? That might be why you cant see the screen and stuff. To connect to TV, just connect your VIDEO OUT on the dvd player to the VIDEO IN on your TV. About that sub...you can hook it up, but it will only have as much punch as the player will allow. In other words, dont expect much out of a 20" sub if you have a 100 watt system.
