Magicolor 2530 DL error code 14h

For the last to mornings when we get in the printer gives an Fatal error code 14h.

We have hard rebooted the printer several time and then it works. We have pulled the toner out and put it in front of a heater for a while and then put it in and it has worked.

What is the issue and how can it be resolved permanently?

    Haven't tried the heater bit, but I get a permanent 14H error code and can't print!

    Printer has paper ready to print but leaves it in the machine and gives a code 14H fatal eror. Jackson

Hi Condeleeza,

Normally smoke would be caused by label residue being left on the fuser rollers, I am assuming your use of the word label is correct and not a transparency (which is a common jamming source in laser printers) especially when someone mistakenly puts a inkjet transparency through a laser printer or mistakenly puts a clear plastic divider sheet through.
If you are sure all of the original label has come out and there is was no residue left directly on the fuser rollers, and the fact you now have smoke and an error code (which I do not have access to find service codes for Minolta), I suspect the fuser assembly is overheating now which is causing the error message (after probably 10 seconds after switch on from cold). This could mean the temperature sensor monitoring the fuser temp is either not touching the fuser due to label fragment lifting sensor off fuser roller surface or sensor is bent or damaged due to label revolving aorund or subsequent removal efforts.

Take a closer look and see if you can find a stray fragment stuck to a thermocouple sensor wiping against the fuser roller. Failing this then you probably need to send into service and ask for a quote to repair. Be aware that the fuser may have become scratched or otherwise damaged depending upon your label removal techniques....over zealous use of letter openers, nail files and small screwdrivers have destroyed many a good fuser assembly.

There is a glass strip, take out the drum, inside on the front side it's about 6" x 1/2" just wipe with cotton and alcohol

Check your toner cartridges, one of them is seized up. Remove all cartridges and turn the gear on the right side backwards ( counterclockwise) about 10 times and see if it turns smoothly. I don't know why but 90% of the time its the cyan that gets stuck.

Magicolor 2530dl

IF YOU LOOK AT THE PRINTER FROM THE TONER BOTTLE END THERE IS A SMALL CLUTCH IN THE TOP LEFTHAND REAR CORNER OF THE PRINTER.
YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE TOP COVER TO ACCESS IT.
IT IS BEHIND A PLATE BUT FASTENED TO THE MAIN FRAME OF THE PRINTER.
YOU NEED TO SPRAY INTO IT WITH SOME LUBRICANT LIKE WD40 NOT OIL.
THIS CLUTCH GOES RUSTY AND DRIVES THE CAROUSELL SO GIVES 15H CAUROSELL ERROR

had printer for approximately 2 years. Used daily in office setting. today the printer tried to print, then just stopped and it said fatal error 17H in the window. We cleared paper jam and rebooted, gives the same error message. Anything we can do?

Fatal error 14H MY MAGICOLOR 2530 DL HAS FATAL ERROR 14H

Try first rebooting the printer, if that doesn't work, reinstall/update all drivers. If that doesn't work, you need a service tech.

Error 14h is:

Service Call 14 XFER ROLLER: Incorrect pressure by or seperation from the Second image transfer roller..

not too sure on how to fix that if reboot/driver update doesn't work.
