I would suspect bad solder connections on the convergence IC's caused one to short out a blow one or more pico fuses, thus causing the set to go into shutdown so as to stop further damage to the set. The TV will need to be seen by a profesional to confirm or deny this.

Hello I have a mitsubishi vs-45603 with what appears to be a convergence problem.

You may have bought bad chips or your soldering...
This is a common problem on many brands of Projection Tv sets. Its usually a convergence issue. You can get more details and a solution here on fixya using this link http://www.fixya.com/support/r11932741-convergence_repair_dull_video_repair

After big storm the tv only shows small picture in upper right corner. Will not allow to go to full screen. VS-45603

You are in pip mode, and if itwill not let show on regular mode, then your tuner is out,and youcan bypass it and go directly into the video input with RCA cables from your recieever, and put your set in video mode, better picture, and save you 500 dollars on a new tuner.

Mitsubishi VS-45603 had power outage and when it came back on it says TV is locked. How do I unlock it?

Go into the 'Menu' -> then 'Setup' -> then 'A/V Connections'.

You should see an option called 'Locked to Input' switch it to 'No' and your problem should be solved!

Screen fades occasionally. Perfetc and them fades dark for about 5 min. Is that the bulb? Howmuch is a new bulb?

Make sure that in the settings that your TV isn't setup to auto dim. I remember I had a similar problem. I think when ever a light would turn on or someone would walk near the TV it would get dim. It was really annoying. Check your settings. Good luck

No picture or sound on Mitsubishi VS-45603

you may want to inspect it for a fluid leak. Look on the signal pcb first. look for any signs of liquid on the connectors. If the leak is found and has been there for awhile before it finally shorted out a connector then chances are that it corroded the pcb
