Printing Birthday Card Envelopes approx 4.75 x 5

What is the recommended way to print these envelopes on a HP Officejet 621 Oxi All-In-One?
I am constantly getting paper jams or not feeding. Right now I am printing face down and to the right. Any better way?

There should be brackets to hold the paper in place. Most printers suggest that you feed the envelopes in landscape instead of portrait.

PRINT RUBS OFF

When printing envelopes ensure you set paper/media type to Envelopes, and feed via tray 1/bypass . Paper type setting sets correct fuser temp, the fuser is the hot bit at the rear that "melts" the image into the paper.

If paper type is set correctly then I recommend you change the fuser unit.

Ensure envelopes are standard type. ie you are printing on paper envelopes

Envelopes won't feed into my hp 6310 all in one. What can I do?

Hello db,
Try this...Place the envelope to the right side of the feeder. Position the envelope with the flap facing up and to the left. I use Microsoft Office Word software for feeding and printing envelopes with good results. You can also go to the HP website and download their envelope printing software for free.
Hope this is helpful for you. If it is, please leave positive feedback for me. Good luck! NormanZ

How to print envelopes on my printer

Use The Recommended Print Area For the best printing results, adjust the top and bottom margins of your document to within the recommended printing area shown below. Click on the paper size listed for the recommended print area settings: A4 / B5 / A5 / 4 x 6 / 4 x 8 / 5 x 7 / Credit Card, Letter and Legal, Envelopes (DL / COM#10)
Caution: When printing is performed outside the recommended printing area, the top and bottom edges of the paper may curl, the print quality may deteriorate, or the printed side may be smudged.
The printer has both the recommended print area and the printable area, according to the paper size.

05sj00144_02.jpg Printable area: Although this indicates the printable area, degradation of print quality may occur.
Note:
  • Set Borderless Printing to print without margins.
  • In Duplex Printing, the printable area of the paper's header is approximately 2 mm narrower than usual.

Here is a how-to for the printer, but I'm not sure if you mean the printer, or in a program.

Printing envelopes

If you look closely at the very front of the paper tray, just to the left of the sliding thing that keeps the paper from drifting out of the front, you will see a couple of illustrations showing how to position envelopes in the paper feeder. For regular letter-sized envelopes, or even greeting card envelopes, place them face down with the top of the envelope pointing to the left as you are facing the printer. The return address area should be away from you. Position the envelope all the way to the right side of the paper feeder, then gently slide the envelope all the way back until it is stops so that it is accessible by the paper feeder. Bear in mind that it will be flipped over when it comes out. To avoid wasting an envelope, do a trial print on a piece of paper to make sure you understand the positioning correctly. Good luck!

Try setting the page setup to 8.5x11 and adjust the margins to landscape, top and left margin approx 4". A lot of times the envelope templates are afterthoughts.

Pagemaker programmer's supervisor, "Forget that template, nobody will ever print envelopes in Pagemaker"

Hope this helps!
