Look at the top left rear of the cabinet, there you will see the connections for the inlet valve(s), if there is only 1 then it is a cold fill only, if there are 2 connections , then it is hot and cold fill.
They are normally marked H and C.

when we set our wdr 1040w off on a no.4 cycle it starts to fill the drum,it clicks to move forward within the cycle but nothing happens. The drum does not rotate either. Have tried running on a spin cycle and the drum still refuses to rotate. Prior to this the drum has become more noisy than normal, I think the bearings were on their way out ! It is probably about 5-6 years old and used nearly every day with a family of 2 adults & 2 children.
