Re: font size randomly too small for kids to see well
The most likely issue is if the kids have to log in on their own account someone will have to check the display settings they chose. Other option is that the monitor is choosing the display on its own and it needs to be taken off auto

Usually emails are compressed in such a way that they take very little space therefore their font sizes are always small. Due to this before printing you are supposed to increase the font size before printing is done otherwise the prints are bound to come out small like font size 3 or 4. The best way to do this is to increase the size of the display before printing is done. you can increase the display size by using the ctrl and + keys. Press down the ctrl and press the + accordingly and the display will become bolderdo this to the document print preview before printing. Hope this solution has been helpful? Please feel free to request further assistance. Happy new year to you.
In your display properties, if using Windows, you can change the font dpi. It's usually set at a default of 96dpi & iy allows you to either change to 120dpi or a custom size if you need bigger than 120. Hope this helps.
this is a very general question, since each program may have a slightly different varition of how to set the font size. fortunately, most third party vendors set the font in their programs, the same way microsoft does in theirs. for everything prior to Vista with word 2007, you would click on file and then select printer settings. this sets the base font and other default printing features. also, microsoft uses styles in some of its office products, like word for instance. styles are likea template whch follows the same pattern for font; type face, and other enhancements like bold and italics. if you get stuck and need more help, you can always click on help for the application you are using and type "set font" as a search string to find how to set font size for the program you are using. basically printers do what the program tells them to do and by that i mean print letters and words in the style and font size you previosly have set. if the letters are small, it is because the program is set to print small. you need to set the font for every application you use. if you want help with a specific application, please let me know what that is and i will be able to give you a more specific answer.
