Cant gat ps3 working on my new tv

How are you trying to connect it? If you have HDMI sockets and you are having troubles getting a signal it is due to incorrect version of HDMI cable PS3/Xbox 360 even the Wii are optimized for Version 1.4 HDMI cables others may work but troubles can arise. If you are using the existing AV cable carefully check that it has not been damaged in anyway, otherwise consult a PS3 support technician for further troubleshooting

I jus bought a new hdmi for my tv and ps3 it plugged evrything in correctly into the right sockets of both the television and ps3 and still nothing shows up and the tv just reads" no input powering...

It is possible that the TV is set to the wrong input, it will not automatically change to the HDMI input. Press the "Input" button on the TV or remote until it is on HDMI.
If that does not word, the HDMI cable is bad, you will need to return it and purchase a new one.

IPod Touch pins are bent and broken

by pins do you mean on the cable or in the socket of the device? if it is the cable replace at any electronic store that carries apple products or find an apple store near you to purchase a new one. if it is the socket on the bottom you must have it repaired at an apple store or ship it to them.

The "new device found" screen keeps popping up

Inspect for damaged pin on INPUT 1 socket. (left most of the three HDMI connectors)
A quick pull on the cable can damage the pins.
=== If you see mis-aligned pins then please power off the set before making corrective action. ===
============== Here's a textbook instruction from Mitsubishi
If the New Device Found Screen Displays No HDMI Control Option If the New Device Found screen shows no option for HDMI Control, one of these conditions applies: • HDMI Control is turned off in the menus of the new device Action: a. Highlight EXIT and press ENTER to close the New Device Found screen. b. Display the device's setup menus and enable the device's CEC capabilities. c. Wait for the TV's New Device Found screen to appear again. d. If the New Device Found screen does not appear, power off the device. Power on the device and wait for the New Device Found screen to display with the HDMI Control option.
Next time you see the NEW DEVICE FOUND screen pop up.
Toggle the CEC field (on the right side of the pop up) to OFF.

I need to know how to run my ps3 thru the optical wire to my hdtv

Before you start ensure that you read the TV instruction manual to know which resolution supports it. Do not switch on the TV and your console

You can connect your Playstation 3 to your TV in three different methods:

  1. Connecting with an AV cable
  2. Connecting with an HDMI cable
  3. Connecting with an Optical Cable

Connecting with an AV Cable:

  1. You are supplied with a Composite AV cable which would typically look like the below image
  2. Connect the AV Multi Out Connector to the socket on the back of your PS3 Console.
  3. Match the colors of the Jacks with the connectors on the TV which says "Video in".

Connecting with an HDMI Cable:

HDMI cable is not supplied with the PS3. You need to purchase it seperately. This cable would enhance the audio-video quality of your TV.

  1. Just connect one end of the connector to the HDMI OUT connector socket on the back of the console
  2. Connect the other end to the socket on the back of your TV which says HDMI IN.

Connecting with an Optical cable:

You need to purchase an Optical cable if you wish to connect your PS3 console through a digital audio device (Home theater, AV receiver etc.,). You need to connect Video ouput seperately with a help of Video output cable (HDMI, AV Cable etc.,)

  1. Connect one end of the optical cable to "Audio Out" socket on the console
  2. Connect the other end to the audio receiver.

Note: You can also connect your console to the Internet to use the Playstation 3 internet capabilities. Here's how you do it:

The Playstation 3 only supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T type networks. It needs a High speed internet connection. Do not connect it to a standard telephone connection or cables that are not supported. It might cause a malfunction or damage to the system.

HDMI input damaged?

This is a very common problem with the HDMI input. The cables seem to be very heavy and pull down on the input on the set, which doesn't have anything holding it down except the solder on the pins. I would not consider blaming any customer of negligence for this repair. When I do a service call for this problem, the charge of the repair is covered by the manufacture or the extended service company. If the service center are the people that told you that they would be charging you, then, contact the warranty company and get another servicer in your area to do the job. You should not be charged for this repair no matter how many times you changed the cable.
