OM10 shutter problem

Thanks for that, unfortunately the problem is still the same.
Do you happen to know what has caused this shutter delay?

Is it worth repairing, and would it be expensive?

Thanks again

It sounds like the magnet holding the shutter open is sticking. An independent repair shop would charge about $65 to repair. Unfortunately, they sell for around $50 on Ebay, so unless it has sentimental value, wouldn't be economical. Too bad, good camera.

My mamiya rz67, which i have never used before, is making this long high pitched noise. i also dont feel the shutter is firing correctly.

Change the battery! This happened to mine too, I was terrified... never knew it took a battery until then, as I don't have a viewfinder with an inbuilt lightmeter. Unfortunately the rz needs it just to run, this is where the rb actually wins. The battery is underneath, you should be able to get a new one from a camera shop.

Hi,

The SX70 film pack contains the battery that allows the shutter to activate. Unfortunately you may have a difficult time finding it. Below are a couple links with some good SX70 info. The second one even has a link to the user guide in PDF format. I think the Q-light was on some of the One Step cameras. is that what you have?

Thanks for using Fixya. Good luck.

I did find a site that sells the film...at $24.50 a pop!

You may find some additional info there too.

I only see black

You don't state the make and model of your camera, but what you've described is typical of what happens on many SLR cameras which rely on batteries to operate.

If you replace the batteries you should find that the fault clears. Leaving the camera in this state for longer than necessary can cause the shutter magnets to stick though so don't delay.

Please return the favour by rating my answer, but wait until after you've replaced the battery. If new batteries don't resolve your problem then please add a comment to your question including the exact make and model and I or others will try to give a model specific resolution to your problem.

Shutter stays closed on bronica 645 etr medium format

Have the electronic shutter checked by a repair shop. Sounds like your Seiko electronic shutter has died or there's a short somewhere between shutter and lens. Hope this helps.

Canon A1 shutter release delay

What you have is what is called "Impact damage" It depends how much you like your camera? You can fix it, replace it or toss it. I recommend fixing it, those cameras are becoming collectors items these days. I have a friend who repairs film cameras, he repairs it, cleans it, lubricates it and callibrates it, makes it like brand new again. At a very afforable price.

Olympus 0M10 ..delayed shutter speed?

Be sure the mode knob at the top beside the wind lever, is set to Auto ( not B or Manual Adapter ). Then be sure your lens aperture is set to a lower number like 2 or 4. If this doesn't change things, it probably needs repair.

Mamiya RZ 67 lens is stuck on body

This is likely because the shutter has not been cocked all the way. Return the lens to the fully locked position and advance the film with the lever all the way down to reset the shutter. If it still doesn't work, move the lever to M for multiple exposure, make sure the back is aligned and trip the shutter release. Then fully **** the shutter again by pressing the advance lever down fully and again until it is reset. Then try to remove the lens again.
